The schedule for the movie and TV titles coming to NBCUniversal’s streaming service Peacock in June 2021 has been revealed (via Vital Thrills), which you can now check out below. This includes the arrival of new seasons for David Schwimmer’s British sitcom Intelligence Season 2, and DreamWorks Animation’s TrollsTopia Season 3. Next month will also feature the series debut of new Peacock original, We Are Lady Parts centered around a Muslim female punk rock band in London.

2000s comedy movies such as Bruce Almighty, Dr. Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat, Hitch, and The Change-Up will be available for streaming next month, along with the Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro-led comedy trilogy, Meet the Parents, Meet the Fockers, and Little Fockers. Sci-fi action trilogies like The Matrix films and the Jurassic Park films are also heading to Peacock this May.

Dwayne Johnson (Black Adam, Moana, The Fast Saga) will voice Krypto the Superdog in the upcoming animated movie DC League of Super-Pets from Warner Bros. and Warner Group Animation. Johnson’s Seven Bucks production company will produce the project (via Deadline). The feature was originally planned for a 2021 release, but was delayed by the studio and will now arrive in theaters on May 20, 2022.

DC League of Super-Pets is written by Jared Stern (The Lego Batman Movie) and John Whittington (The Lego Ninjago Movie) and directed by Stern along with co-director Sam Levine (Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero). The project is based on characters from DC Comics’ Superman created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.

The movie will mark the first time Superman’s beloved canine companion has appeared in a feature. An animated television series titled Krypto the Superdog ran for 39 episodes between 2005-2006, centering on the adventures of the Kryptonian superhero dog and his friends.

It was previously reported that DC League of Super-Pets could also feature the characters of Ace the Bat-Hound, Streaky the Super Cat, Supergirl’s horse, Comet, and the two super-powered monkeys Gleek and Beepo. Additional voiceover casting announcements should come soon.

Producers include Patricia Hicks and Stern along with Johnson, Dany Garcia, and Hiram Garcia via their Seven Bucks Productions banner. John Requa, Glenn Ficarra, and Nicholas Stoller will executive produce.

With only more than two weeks left to go before the highly-anticipated debut of Loki, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, and head writer Michael Waldron along with lead star Tom Hiddleston have revealed some new details about the upcoming Disney+ series. In a recent interview with EW, Feige confirmed that the studio’s third MCU series will also get to explore the multiverse as it will deal with time and reality, teasing fans that they should expect to see multiple versions of Hiddleston’s God of Mischief.

“He’s been around for thousands of years. He had all sorts of adventures,” Feige said. “Wanting to fill in the blanks and see much more of Loki’s story [was] the initial desire [for the series].”

“Part of the fun of the multiverse and playing with time is seeing other versions of characters,” he teased. “And other versions of the titular character in particular.”

His statement seemingly confirms previous circulating rumors that various iterations of Loki are set to appear in the series such as Kid Loki and Lady Loki. However, the outlet notes that he declined to comment on whether or not the events from the upcoming series would also tie into Doctor Strange 2, despite previously confirming in 2019 that both of them would indeed have a connection, just like with WandaVision.

Hiddleston also expressed how it was exciting for him to show fans more of what Loki is capable of beyond his shapeshifting abilities, revealing that the series will explore Loki’s powers in a way they have not yet been explored. Waldron also went opened up about the Time Variance Authority’s role in Loki’s story as early episodes will question whether the fan-favorite villain will help them or take over.

“Loki is a character that’s always reckoning with his own identity, and the TVA, by virtue of what they do, is uniquely suited to hold up a mirror to Loki and make him really confront who he is and who he was supposed to be,” Waldron said.

Hiddleston added, “[That] was very exciting because in the other films, there was always something about Loki that was very controlled. He seemed to know exactly what the cards in his hand were and how he was going to play them…. And Loki versus the TVA is Loki out of control immediately, and in an environment in which he’s completely behind the pace, out of his comfort zone, destabilized, and acting out.”

Loki sees the return of Golden Globe winner Tom Hiddleston as the fan-favorite mischievous titular villain, who was last seen in Avengers: Endgame, where he successfully had stolen the Tesseract during Iron Man and Ant-Man’s failed attempt to retrieve it. Because of this, the God of Mischief has been arrested by the Time Variance Authority, a bureaucratic organization that exists outside of time and space, due to the damage he had done with the timeline. Now, he must willingly work with the TVA in order to fix the reality he broke or else face deletion from existence.

The series will introduce MCU newcomers Sophia Di Martino (Yesterday, Flowers, Into the Badlands), Owen Wilson (The Royal Tenenbaums), Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Black Mirror: San Junipero), Cailey Fleming (The Walking Dead), and Richard E. Grant (Can You Ever Forgive Me?), Sasha Lane (American Honey) and Wunmi Mosaku (Lovecraft Country).

Loki hails from executive producer and head writer Michael Waldron (Rick and Morty), with Kate Herron as the director. Waldron is also the scribe for Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which Loki will reportedly have ties into just like with WandaVision and Spider-Man: No Way Home. Executive producers are Kevin Feige, Louis D’ Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Stephen Broussard, and Kate Herron.

Several new images from Marvel’s What If…? tease an alternate MCU, with the series now set to premiere on Disney+ in August.

Dwayne Johnson is set to star in Warner Bros. upcoming animated DC movie DC League of Super-Pets, and he will take on the role of Krypto the Super-Dog. Johnson is also producing the movie through his company Seven Bucks Productions.

The film’s story centers on Superman’s dog, who teams up with a flying cat to stop crime while the Man of Steel is on vacation.

The movie is being directed by Sam Levine (Robot and Monster), and they are currently in the middle of casting Johnson’s co-stars. The Studio is looking at casting an ensemble cast of A-list star to voice the rest of the animal heroes and villains.

The movie is slated to be released in theaters on May 20, 2022.

Many gamers have fond memories of the TimeSplitters games, especially TimeSplitters 2. It appears that it was only time until the series revived as Deep Silver has announced they are reviving Free Radical Design with key original members including founders Steve Ellis and David Doak. The first item on FRD’s agenda? Bring fans a brand new TimeSplitters game. Development on the game will start in the coming months after the studio has been built up a bit with personnel. I know there are fans losing their minds with this announcement and Ellis shared his excitement as well:

To finally be able to confirm that the studio has been formed and that we have a plan for the next TimeSplitters game is incredible. While we cannot tell you anything more at the moment, we look forward to sharing information in the future.

Legendary actor Al Pacino stars in American Traitor: The Trial of Axis Sally alongside Meadow Williams. The drama releases May 28 in theaters and digitally on demand. Based on a true story, Pacino plays a lawyer, James Laughlin, that attempts to help Mildred Gillars after she is arrested for treason for broadcasting Nazi propaganda to American troops.

ComingSoon is excited to debut an emotional clip from the film titled “I Just Tried to Survive.” In it, Gillars explains to her lawyer that she couldn’t give her life up in Germany during the war. “What was I supposed to do? Everybody likes to think that they’d always do the right thing, always make the right choice, but it is not like that in war,” says Gillars. “There is no right and wrong. There’s just death and survival. I did what I could to survive. What would you have done?”

American Traitor is directed by Michael Polish and written by Vance Owen and Darryl Hicks. Producers include Randall Emmett, George Furla, Tucker Tooley, Vance Owen, Luillo Ruiz, and Shaun Sanghani.

A few months ago Lucasfilm announced a new live-action Star Wars series that was in development titled Rangers of the Old Republic. Well, according to Variety, the spin-off “is not currently in active development”. It seems the show has been put on the back-burning for now.

They don’t explain why, but when the project was announced it was speculated that the show would prominently feature Gina Carano‘s character Cara Dune. As you know, Carano’s working relationship recently came to an end after she posted some controversial posts on social media. Also at one point, Carano had her own spin-off series that was canceled.

Even though this project has been seemingly been shelved, for the time being, there are several other Star Wars projects in development that we can look forward to watching. Those include Andor, Ahsoka, Obi-Wan Kenobi, The Book of Boba Fett, and The Acolyte. However, I will say, I was looking forward to watching Rangers of the Old Republic.

Hopefully, Lucasfilm eventually puts it back into development.

A few months ago we learned that there was a live-action Dungeons & Dragons series in development, which is in addition to the film that is currently in production.

The series is being written and developed by Derek Kolstad, the creator and writer behind the John Wick franchise. Now we have some information to share with you that might shed some light on the character that the series could focus on.

The story “might be” focusing on a popular drow ranger character named Drizzt Do’Urden. Wizards of the Coast recently announced a summer-long celebration of the character, whose popularity came from a series of D&D fantasy novels by R.A. Salvatore.

The upcoming celebration will include several pieces of merchandise and tie-ins, including “action figures, Magic: The Gathering cards, Funko POP figures, Halloween costumes, t-shirts, replica scimitars and more.” The press release then went on to say, “a live action TV show is in development with eOne entertainment and, although not focused on Drizzt, a movie set in the Forgotten Realms starring Chris Pine, Hugh Grant, Rege-Jean Page, Michelle Rodriguez, Sophia Lillis, and Justice Smith is in production.”

When asked for clarification on what that means, Wizards of the Coast confirmed that the upcoming Dungeons & Dragons movie was “not focused on Drizzt, but there is a TV show in development that might be.”

Kolstad previously hinted that his D&D TV show would be set in the Underdark, which is a massive series of caverns that spreads over entire continents. This is a big connection to the character Drizzt because most of the drow live in the Underdark. CB speculates that the show could focus on “Drizzt’s early life growing up in the drow city of Menzoberranzan, also known as the city of Spiders.”

“Born” in the 80s, Drizzt is very much as relevant today as he was then and continues to be a hero for new and old fans discovering or rediscovering him. He may not have the biggest sword but he does what is right even when it is the hard choice, with themes including:

• The battle between our principles and beliefs and the things in our life that challenge them.

• The evils and fundamental unfairness of racism, bigotry and other forms of narrow-minded thinking.

• The strength of family, friendship, and loyalty.

• The importance of living life fully and bravely.
