Assimilation will include a Battle Pass that will allow players to take on both daily and weekly challenges to earn unique rewards with a robotic twist. The updated World’s Edge map, where Hammond Robotics resides, is being ravaged by chaos as the company is harvesting resources in the area that is tearing up the arena. Players can take aim at opponents with the new Sentinel, a bolt-action sniper rifle that shuts down enemies before they have a chance to spot their attacker.

The new season also includes Revenant, the greatest hitman the Mercenary Syndicate ever had, but after his programming failed, he realized that Hammond Robotics turned him into a walking nightmare of steel and flesh. The return of the company to the Outlands has driven his desire for revenge and he will kill all in his way until he sees everyone dead.

CHILLING ADVENTURES OF SABRINA PART 3 Review: To Hell and Back Again

Screenshot+%2828%29.jpg

The revitalization and new perspective of Sabrina is a pretty amazing feat. The first part was great and the second was good, both with strong points, but not without their flaws. The third part was interesting, but I think the risks ended up outweighing the rewards in a number of ways. This will be a spoiler free review, but leave comments below to talk more about the story and if you (the readers) would like more spoiler/in-depth conversations about this show and others.

Sabrina’s story follows her latest endeavors after she and her friends captured Lucifer inside the body of Nick. The story follows the many complications and moving pieces of Hell having a new leader, Lilith. I am happy to see seriously insane and off the wall plot points fill Part 3. Between various competitions, courts in Hell, new powerful enemies and different gods, Sabrina really does tackle a number of crazy things a relatively short time. However, even though there are all these moving parts along with solid emotional and dramatic points for the human world of Sabrina and her friends, things fall apart a number of times. Far too many times does the show think it is very smart and deep and then ends up falling short of a real meaning or complete story.

The production and budget have gotten a small upgrade, but sometimes the money seemed to be spent in odd places and sequences. The special effects, make-up, CGI, cinematography, and score were a little better than the last two parts. My major problem with Part 3 was the musical numbers. Sorry about the spoiler, but there are a number of musical numbers. I am not opposed to them in dramatic shows, but far too often and too cheesy did these moments pop up and kills the more grim and horrific mood. The audio is way too obviously just layered on top of the video and it really takes a person out of the experience. They aren’t terrible on their own, they are just oddly placed.

As I mentioned before, there are a number of storylines that interconnect and run into each other, but they far too often seem short-lived or shallow while pretending to be profound and emotionally driven. Along with all these plots, way too many times did the “good guys” have plans to solve a problem and then it was ruined at the last second, basically Diablos-Ex Machina at every turn to drag out problems, drama, and story.

And lastly, the final episode. It was disappointingly uncreative, feeling like the ending of LOST; so many questions, one easy answer. I wouldn’t say the last episode cheapened the entire show like it did LOST, but I think the show should have cut half of the plots in exchange for a better conclusion.

Overall, Part 3 of the Chilling Adventures of Sabina is good, possibly better than season two in a number of ways. But the outlandish and overwhelming amount of moving parts and oddly weird scene choices stopped the season from being a powerful chapter of Sabrina’s life.

Lucasfilm’s Kathleen Kennedy confirms Indiana Jones 5 is not a reboot

Hollywood producer Kathleen Kennedy received the BAFTA Fellowship Award, the ceremony’s version of a lifetime achievement award, during the 73rd British Academy Film Awards yesterday in London. During an interview with BBC, Kennedy, who co-founded Amblin Entertainment with Steven Spielberg and Frank Marshall and has been the president of Lucasfilm since 2012, spoke about the current status of the upcoming Indiana Jones project, confirming that Indiana Jones 5 will be a continuation of the story.

“We’re working away, getting the script where we want it to be and then we’ll be ready to go,” Kathleen said of the Indiana Jones film. “Harrison Ford will be involved… It’s not a reboot. It’s a continuation.” Kennedy added that Ford “can’t wait” to get started on the movie.

Kennedy was also asked about whether fans can expect to see a woman directing a Star Wars film in the future. The producer said, “Oh, absolutely. Without question.”

“We’ve already got ’em. We’re doing Mandalorian, we’ve got two or three fantastic women working with Star Wars and we just brought in Deborah Chow who’s doing the Obi-Wan series. We’re cultivating a lot of great talent,” said Kennedy.

Famed archaeologist and explorer Indiana Jones was introduced in 1981’s Raiders of the Lost Ark – one of AFI’s 100 Greatest American Films of All Time – and later thrilled audiences in 1984’s Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, 1989’s Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and 2008’s Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. The four films have brought in nearly $2 billion at the global box office.

After breaking out with the titular role in Netflix’s acclaimed Marvel Cinematic Universe series Luke Cage, Mike Colter has found a new niche in horror as he has joined the upcoming Hulu anthology series Monsterland, marking his second TV genre effort after CBS’ Evil (via Deadline).

The series, produced by Annapurna TV, is described as following “broken people driven to desperate acts in an attempt to repair their lives” and will feature encounters with mermaids, fallen angels and a variety of other mythical creatures and horrors.

The 43-year-old actor is set to star in the episode “Newark, New Jersey” as Brian, a grief-stricken husband who feels guilt and blame after his daughter goes missing under his watch, but refuses to believe she is dead and finds himself unable to move on or connect emotionally to his wife.

Monsterland is created, written and executive produced by Mary Laws (Preacher), based on short stories from Nathan Ballingrud’s North American Lake Monsters, and will also be executive produced by Lucan Toh (Under the Shadow), Megan Ellison and Sue Naegle, with Ali Krug serving as co-EP.

Colter found his first bit of stardom with a key role on CBS’ The Good Wife and followed it up with roles in The CW’s Ringer and Fox’s The Following before co-starring in the first season of Netflix’s Jessica Jones as fellow comic book character Luke Cage. His performance in the role, and the series as a whole, would receive a lot of praise and led to him leading his own series as Cage, which ran for two acclaimed seasons before being cancelled by the streaming service due to creative differences between them and the writers’ room.

After reprising his Good Wife role on the CBS All Access sequel series, The Good Fight, he continued his relationship with the network by landing a lead role on their supernatural horror series Evil, which received rave reviews from critics and scored a second season order from CBS.

My First Impression of DISINTEGRATION After the Technical Beta

Disintegration is an upcoming game from the co-creators of Halo and it’s pretty awesome. V1 Interactive invited me to try out the Closed Technical Beta for the new game and I’ve got some thoughts that I think you guys might appreciate. This game is an interesting blend of tactical strategy and first-person shooter. It actually reminds me a little of the gameplay for Star Wars: Republic Commando, but more sophisticated.

The combination of gameplay gives Disintegration a unique feel and a unique difficulty. You see, you’re not on the ground commanding your squad, you’re in a gravcycle. This lets you take an aerial position which is great for commanding, but you’ve also got to deal with all of your enemies creating a split in attention.

There are a number of factions for you to choose from as well, each with a unique look such as knights, samurai, or even clowns. Every time you spawn, you can choose which faction to be a part of which is where some strategy comes in. Each faction has unique weapons on the gravcycle and abilities for the ground units. It’s pretty cool.

The game has some fun mechanics and while I’m not a fan of the two game modes (a territory control one and a capture the flag-esque one) accessible during the Technical Beta, I am excited to see the campaign and the other online mode.

I also am happy to report that the game looks gorgeous and the only technical problem I had was there was some screen tearing with no way to deal with it. I didn’t have any connectivity problems during my time and everything seemed to work pretty flawlessly.
