Netflix has released a creepy teaser trailer for an upcoming Italian horror thriller A Classic Horror Story, which pays tribute to the classic Italian horror films from directors like Dario Argento and Mario Bava.

The film sees “five carpoolers travel in a motorhome to reach a common destination. Night falls and to avoid a dead animal carcass, they crash into a tree. When they come to their senses, they find themselves in the middle of nowhere. The road they were traveling on has disappeared and there is only a dense, impenetrable forest and a wooden house in the middle of a clearing, which they discover is the home of a spine-chilling cult.”

The tagline reads, “Music for children, an abandoned house, five strangers: it looks like the classic horror movie and instead…”

I’m a big fan of classic old-school Italian horror films, so I’m pretty stoked for this! The film was directed by Roberto De Feo (The Nest) and Paolo Strippoli. A Classic Horror Movie will be released on July 14th.

The ensemble cast includes Francesco Russo, Peppino Mazzotta, Yulia Sobol, Will Merrick, Alida Baldari Calabria, Cristina Donadio, and Matilda Lutz (Rings, Revenge).

Idris Elba Reveals September Shoot Is Scheduled for LUTHER Movie

luther-tv-review-bbc-america (1).jpg

Actor Idris Elba, who has been in films like The Losers, Thor: Ragnarok, Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw, and more, has also made his mark in TV with series like The Wire, and Luther. It has been a couple of years since Luther wrapped it’s fifth season, but now fans have a movie to look forward to, and it is set to begin shooting this September.

The follow-up film has been long rumored and highly anticipated by all fans of the fantastic series, and was confirmed by the actor last summer, when he told press at the BAFTA Awards, “With film, the sky is the limit. You can be a little bit more bold with the storylines. And a little bit more international, and a little more up the scale. But John Luther is always going to be John Luther.”

He told Variety this week, “We go into production, fingers crossed, in September. I’m so excited about it, it’s been a long time coming.”

It really has. I know Elba always imagined the series would end with a film, and I can’t wait to see it. I love Luther, and I can’t wait to see what story the film will tell.
