Another past Mission: Impossible character is coming back for some more action in the upcoming two sequels that are currently in development. Vanessa Kirby has confirmed in an interview with Glamour Magazine UK, that she will be reprising her role as Alanna Mitsopolis, a.k.a. the White Widow.

This character made her debut in Mission: Impossible – Fallout as an arms dealer who helps out Tom Cruise‘s Ethan Hunt. As expected, we don’t have any information on how she’ll be utilized in the story, but it’ll be good to see her again.

Christopher McQuarrie is directing Mission: Impossible 7 and 8 back-to-back, and they will see Ethan Hunt embark on a whole new adventure! We’ll also get to see Tom Cruise risk his life to pull off more crazy-ass insane stunts! When previously talking about the film, the filmmaker said:

“I pitched the idea of making two movies, and now I have to justify why it’s two movies. You’ve got to earn that. You’ve got to make something that swallows the last three movies whole. I’m freaked out now. We’ve talked ourselves into something. Holy shit.”

I’m a big loyal fan of this franchise and I can’t wait to see what this creative team has in store. Could these two films end up being the best movies yet? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see!

Kirby joins the previously announced cast, which also includes Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Henry Czerny, Hayley Atwell, Shea Whighman, Nicholas Hoult, and Pom Klementieff.

Mission: Impossible 7 film will be released on July 23rd, 2021, while Mission: Impossible 8 will be released on August 5th, 2022.

Skittles has released a new commercial promoting their new yogurt dipped Skittles and it’s kinda terrifying! The commercial features a Yogurt Boy character that is horrifying. This is like a messed up Skittles horror movie and it’s something viewers might never recover from. Seriously, I don’t think I’m comfortable eating Skittles ever again because of this ad. Check it out!

If you’ve ever wondered how a tech-savvy millennial couple might handle an alien invasion in today’s modern society, there’s a new film coming out called Save Yourselves! that tells us that story, and it’s absolutely hilarious!

The film follows a couple from Brooklyn whose lives have been taken over by technology, and their relationship starts to suffer from it. So, when an opportunity comes up for them to stay in an isolated cabin in the middle of the wilderness, they seize it. Their plan is to ditch their phones and other tech for the duration of their time at the cabin. 

As soon as they leave, there’s an alien invasion and the world finds itself in chaos. Since they’ve ditched their tech, they have no idea what is happening in the world, as a poofy alien race attacks and kills people. 

The aliens are little poofy balls of hair that look harmless, but don’t let their looks deceive you. They are crazy deadly! As the story unfolds, the couple finds themselves trying to survive the alien menace and find their way back to civilization.

The movie stars John Reynolds and Sunita Mani who both give incredibly funny performances. Reynolds has a very John C. Riley vibe to him. They were a lot of fun to watch, though, and had great chemistry, which is a good thing because they have to pretty much carry the film and its story by themselves. 

This is an extremely fun film that had audiences rolling with laughter and it’s a comedic movie that I think a lot of you will enjoy. Keep an eye out for it!

Here’s the synopsis for the film:

Jack (John Reynolds) and Su (Sunita Mani) are a hip Brooklyn couple who, like many of their friends, find themselves dependent on technology and unable to put down their phones. Fearing their mindless scrolling may impact their connection with each other, they seize the chance to head to an isolated cabin in the woods, vowing to unplug from the outside world for a week. Sheltered from texts and push notifications, they are blissfully unaware when aliens attack the earth. As strange events unfold, the couple must figure out a way back to civilization—or what’s left of it.

Writer-directors Eleanor Wilson and Alex Huston Fischer (Snowy Bing Bongs) have crafted a zany sci-fi comedy as hilarious as it is thrilling, taking a millennial worst-case scenario and lighting it on fire. Reynolds’s and Mani’s engaging performances bring to life razor-sharp writing that affectionately satirizes modern life and love. Ultimately, Save Yourselves! is an ode to an internet-savvy generation that has never known connection without autocorrection.

Quibi has released the first trailer for a new action thriller series they have produced titled Most Dangerous Game. The series stars Liam Hemsworth, who plays “a terminally ill man named Dodge Maynard who will do anything to provide for his pregnant wife before he dies. In the throws desperation, he accepts an offer to participate in a deadly game, only to discover that he’s not the hunter, but he is the prey.”

This definitely looks like the show tells an intense story and it also stars Christoph Waltz (Django Unchained, No Time to Die) as a character named Miles Sellers. The series also stars Sarah Gadon (Dracula Untold), Zach Cherry (Succession), Aaron Poole (The Captive), Christopher Webster (American Assassin), Billy Burke (The Twilight Saga) and Natasha Bordizzo (The Society, Guns Akimbo).

Most Dangerous Game was created by writer Nick Santora (Scorpion, Prison Break) and it was directed by Phil Abraham (Mad Men, Daredevil).

As seems to be the case every year the higher ups at the Oscars are facing backlash after Luke Perry, Cameron Boyce, Sid Haig more are left out of memorial montage.

Disney Parks has shared a new video promoting Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, which is the themed hotel that is opening up at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida in 2021. The hotel will give guests a two-day and two-night all-immersive experience that will take you to a galaxy far, far away. The video gives you an idea of what this immersive experience will entail.

The new type of immersive hotel experience has been described as follows:

This is a new type of immersive vacation that only Disney could create – a two-night, cruise-style itinerary where you’ll become the hero of your own adventure in an experience that surrounds you 24/7 in Star Wars storytelling.

This will kind of be like the Westworld experience, but much less violent. They go on to describe the guest arrival experience:

Whether you show up via personal vehicle, Disney transportation or by landspeeder, curb-side check-in prepares you to leave Earth behind, jump to lightspeed and begin your Star Wars story. From the Starcruiser Terminal, you will enter an exclusive launch pod for travel up to the Halcyon, your starcruiser in a galaxy far, far away. Through the pod’s viewports, it looks as though you are traveling through space to approach the massive ship that is much too large to land on any planet.

As for what it will be like to travel between hotel and park, here are the details:

To get from Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and back, you’ll remain fully in-story as you step aboard the transport ships designed specifically for this new immersive experience, which you can see in the artist concept rendering above, released today. It will connect you directly to a spaceport at Black Spire Outpost on Batuu, where the story you began in the starcruiser will continue and evolve while exploring the 14-acre land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

This will undoubtedly be an incredibly fun and unforgettable experience for anyone who plans to attend. There’s no doubt this is going to cost a ton of money, which means it’s something that I may never experience. Disney doesn’t really cater to people who don’t have a lot of money. But, for the people who can afford to go, it’s sure to be awesome!

Bong Joon-Ho’s acclaimed South Korean thriller Parasite took home the top prize at the Oscars and made Academy Awards history.

The director of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Gareth Edwards, is set to write and direct a new sci-fi film for New Regency. The film doesn’t have a title and we don’t have any plot details. What we do know is that it’s based on an original idea that Edwards came up with, and the story is set in the near future.

Edwards launched his career with a great indie film called Monsters, and from there he made Godzilla. This next film will only be his fourth feature film project and I’m curious to see what he’s got planned for this next film.

I wish I had more details to share with you, but when new information does become available, I’ll give you an update. In the meantime, do you like the films that Edwards has made? I’m just happy to see he was able to push an original project through in Hollywood.
