Armie Hammer’s Batman Cowl From George Miller’s Unmade JUSTICE LEAGUE MORTAL Film Revealed

As you know, Mad Max filmmaker George Miller was developing a Justice League film for Warner Bros. and DC titled Justice League Mortal. Armie Hammer was cast in the role of Batman and today we have a first look at the Batman cowl he would have worn.

The image comes from Ryan Unicomb, who is currently developing a documentary detailing the unmade project. The cowl seems to be heavily inspired by artist Alex Ross‘ vision of the Dark Knight, which I love. It’s a shame that this movie never got made. I would have loved to see it. The design is much different looking than the early concept art we’ve seen.

When previously talking about the Batsuit, Hammer revealed:

“Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, they built a whole functioning suit that had hydraulics and worked and had microphones all through the suit so I could hear everything happening around m. 100 percent function because we had $300 million to do it, kinda like the budget we had on the movie”

Hammer also previously shared that his Batman would have found himself in a fight with Superman and Wonder Woman:

“Superman and Wonder Woman have or had the most brutal fight with each other that you have ever seen. And I mean it would be like when two superheroes actually fight. Like, they destroy multiple cities like by accident ’cause they’re just like, they don’t even see anything else other than like trying to destroy the other person in front of them and it was incredible. At one point they destroy an aircraft carrier by accident and then also the death count was going to be extremely high.”

The movie would have also starred Megan Gale as Wonder Woman, Adam Brody as Flash, Common as Green Lantern, Santiago Cabrera as Aquaman, Hugh Keays-Byrne as Martian Manhunter, Jay Baruchel as Maxwell Lord, and Teresa Palmer as Talia al Ghul.

Just in case you’re curious about this film and the story it would have told, you can read a breakdown of the script here, or watch a live-read of it here.

Rian Johnson Shares New Behind-The-Scenes Photos For THE LAST JEDI Featuring Carrie Fisher, Andy Serkis, and More

Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson has shared some new behind-the-scenes photos from the set of the film. For those of you who don’t know, Johnson always carries around a little camera that takes black and white photos to snap candid shots during the films he makes. He’s already released several of these photos from The Last Jedi, but recently shared three more for the fans of the film to enjoy.

One of those photos features a sweet candid image of Carrie Fisher. Another image shows Andy Serkis, who played Supreme Leader Snoke, crying over a prop of Snoke’s body after he had been sliced in half by Kylo Ren (Adam Driver). Then there’s an imagine of a crew guy cleaning the Star Wars set with a vacuum, which is something you don’t see every day.

LEGO is Temporarily Shutting Down Its Stores

Since we’ve been in self quarantine, my youngest daughter has been building LEGO sets. These sets are usually supposed to take a long time to complete so when she started building the 2,200+ Stranger Things Upside Down LEGO set, I thought there was a week’s worth of time killer for her. Well, she polished it off in only two days and now she wants another one!

Well, I won’t be picking one up from the LEGO store because they recently announced that they are closing their stores until March 27th in all countries except China, where there are reportedly no new local infections for the first time since this all began.

LEGO will continue to pay its employees during the shutdown, and their online store will still be open for people to purchase products, so I’ll be ordering my next set online. What will that next set be? The 1989 movie Batmobile!

LEGO released the following statement on Twitter:

“The health and safety of children and communities worldwide is our top priority.

We’re temporarily closing our stores until at least March 27 in all countries except China; our retail team will continue to be paid. Our online store on LEGO.com remains open.

One of our company values is caring. The way everyone is looking after each other is truly inspiring. We’re listening to you, and we take strength from the fact that play and learning can bring families together for moments of joy, even at the most uncertain times.

We will get through this together.

So please, stay safe, stay home and stay strong.”

Have any of you or your kids been building any LEGO sets since you’ve been in quarantine? If so, what sets are you working on!?

Watch Netflix with Friends and Family Online with Netflix Party

Many people are practicing social distancing these days because of COVID-19, but friends and family love watching shows and movies together making this a little hard on many. Well, Netflix Party may have a solution for you. NP is an extension for Chrome that lets you invite others to watch shows and movies with you and it offers a chatroom for you to make those snide comments about how terrible that one character is. You know the one.

NP is very simple to use, you just need a Chromium-based browser (Google Chrome for example) and a Netflix account. Simply head on over to the Chrome Web Store and install the extension. Then, login to Netflix and choose whatever you want to watch. When it starts you’ll notice the little NP button by the address bar; press it and it’ll let you share the experience with anyone. Plus, you’ll be able to decide whether you want to have absolute control over the situation or allow others to have the remote so to speak. Anyone who wants to watch the show or movie with you then clicks the link, logs into their own Netflix account, and then you’re all set to go.

I love the possibilities that this has to offer. Maybe I can finally watch that one anime my best friend wants to show me with him! Go forth and enjoy watching Netflix with your friends and family.
