Many people are practicing social distancing these days because of COVID-19, but friends and family love watching shows and movies together making this a little hard on many. Well, Netflix Party may have a solution for you. NP is an extension for Chrome that lets you invite others to watch shows and movies with you and it offers a chatroom for you to make those snide comments about how terrible that one character is. You know the one.
NP is very simple to use, you just need a Chromium-based browser (Google Chrome for example) and a Netflix account. Simply head on over to the Chrome Web Store and install the extension. Then, login to Netflix and choose whatever you want to watch. When it starts you’ll notice the little NP button by the address bar; press it and it’ll let you share the experience with anyone. Plus, you’ll be able to decide whether you want to have absolute control over the situation or allow others to have the remote so to speak. Anyone who wants to watch the show or movie with you then clicks the link, logs into their own Netflix account, and then you’re all set to go.
