DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE Has Inspired a Hilarious in-Theater PSA Asking Audiences to Silence Cellphones

During Marvel Studios’ portion of Disney’s CinemaCon presentation last week, they screened a hilarious Deadpool & Wolverine-inspired PSA spot asking audiences to silence their cellphones before the movie starts.

I was wondering at the time if that was going to be something that would end up being played in theaters across the country, and it looks like that is exactly what’s going to happen with it!

According to THR, the spot shown at CinemaCon is intended to play in theaters, but as of right now the Marvel and Deadpool & Wolverine team has not officially confirmed that.

In the PSA, Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) is talking to Wolverine about his theories regarding Avengers: Secret Wars, but anytime he goes to reveal one of the film’s secrets, a cell phone goes off and he isn’t able to finish his thought.

After the cell phone keeps bringing, Hugh Jackman‘s Wolverine goes ballistic and addresses the audience throwing out all the F-bombs and making and making a comment about how the theater is not “your grandma’s nursing home.”

Eventually, Deadpool has to calm Wolverine down. It’s a great spot that I have no doubt audiences will get a kick out of!

After that PSA played, Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige came on stage and declared, “Deadpool & Wolerine is f  –king awesome. And the reason I can say that … is that it’s an R-rated movie.”

We were then treated to nine minutes of footage from the film, and you can watch out reaction video here in case you missed it.

In the film: “After some professional disappointments and an ongoing midlife crisis, Wade Wilson now sells used cars. He’s completely hung up his boots until his family, friends, and whole world are threatened.

“With everyone he loves at risk, DP teams up with a reluctant Wolverine to fight for their survival and ultimately, their legacy.”

The confirmed cast for the movie includes Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova, Morena Baccarin and Stefan Kapicic as Vanessa and Colossus, Matthew Macfadyen in a TVA Agent, and Leslie Uggams as Blind Al.

They are joined by Brianna Hildebrand and Shioli Kutsuna will also return to the franchise as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Negasonic Teenage Warhead’s girlfriend Yukio. It was previously confirmed that Jennifer Garner will return as Elektra in the movie.

Deadpool & Wolverine will hit theaters on July 26th!
