Eddie Murphy’s Beverly Hills Cop 4 is still in development at Netflix, and it’s titled Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley. It was also just announced that Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Looper) and Taylour Paige (Zola) have joined the cast of the film.
The movie is being directed by Mark Molloy, and production on it has already started. Murphy is back as Axel Foley and will produce along with Jerry Bruckheimer and Chad Oman. The movie was written by Will Beall.
There are no plot details to share for the fourth Beverly Hills Cop movie, but it will continue the adventures of the Detroit cop who first appeared in the hilarious 1984 film.
I enjoyed the previous films that were released in this franchise, and I hope that this next film manages to capture that same crazy comedic tone of the original.
