Dan Aykroyd and Chevy Chase Reuniting in Teen Romance Mystery ZOMBIE TOWN Based on R.L. Stine Book

Dan Aykroyd (Ghostbusters) and Chevy Chase (National Lampoon’s Vacation) have joined the cast of the indie teen romance mystery Zombie Town, based on the novel by Goosebumps author R.L. Stine. The pair previously starred together on the big screen for the 1985 comedy Spies Like Us.

Aykroyd and Chase join previously cast stars Henry Czerny (of the Mission: Impossible franchise), and co-teen leads Marlon Kazadi (Riverdale) and Madi Monroe (Attaway General). The ensemble cast includes Scott Thompson and Bruce McCulloch of the comedy sketch show Kids in the Hall.

Canadian animator Peter Lepeniotis (The Nut Job, Gnome Alone) will direct Zombie Town. In the adaptation of Stine’s kid’s book, “a quiet town is upended when young Mike and his friend Amy watch a horror movie called Zombie Town and unexpectedly see the title characters leap off the screen and chase them through the theater.”

Zombie Town will premiere in U.S. theaters before streaming on Hulu and then ABC Australia in 2023.
