The Galaxy Needs Its Guardians in New TV Spot For THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER

Marvel has dropped a new TV spot for Thor: Love and Thunder and it highlights the role that the Guardians of the Galaxy will play in the story. It’s looking like the team will serve as book ends coming in at the beginning of the film and at the end to help Thor in his epic battle to save the universe.

The film finds Thor “on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher, who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie, Korg and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster, who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.”

The movie stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, a.k.a. Mighty Thor, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, director Taika Waititi as Korg, Russell Crowe as Zeus, Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Dave Bautista as Drax, and Pom Klementieff as Mantis.

Thor: Love and Thunder opens in theaters on July 8th, 2022.
