Searchlight Pictures has released a great trailer for the murder mystery comedy See How They Run. The movie stars Sam Rockwell and Saoirse Ronan, and it looks like a ton of fun! I love these kinds of whodunit movies, and judging by this trailer, this one is gonna be great!
The film is set in the West End of 1950s London, and in the story, “plans for a movie version of a smash-hit play come to an abrupt halt after a pivotal member of the crew is murdered. When world-weary Inspector Stoppard (Rockwell) and eager rookie Constable Stalker (Ronan) take on the case, the two find themselves thrown into a puzzling whodunit within the glamorously sordid theater underground, investigating the mysterious homicide at their own peril.”
I love seeing Rockwell and Ronan working together in the film. It looks like they are going to have an amusing character relationship dynamic. They are joined by a great supporting cast that includes Adrien Brody, David Oyelowo, Ruth Wilson, Harris Dickinson, Shirley Henderson, Sian Clifford, Jacob Fortune-Lloyd, Reece Shearsmith, and Charlie Cooper.
See How They Run is directed by Tom George, who most recently helmed all 19 episodes of the British sitcom This Country. The script was written by Mark Chappell.
See How They Run will be released later this year in September.
