New Trailer For The Strange and Twisted Thriller RESURRECTION with Rebecca Hall and Tim Roth

IFC Films has shared another trailer for the upcoming psychological thriller Resurrection, which stars Rebecca Hall and Tim Roth. I saw this movie at Sundance earlier this year, and I didn’t like it. The movie did get some good reviews, but for me, I didn’t care for the story. I especially didn’t like the way the film ended and thought it was laughable. It made absolutely zero sense to me.

The story follows a woman whose carefully constructed life is thrown into disarray when an unwelcome shadow from her past comes back into it, and it forces her to confront the monster she’s evaded for two decades.

The movie comes from writer and director Andrew Seman, and this is the synopsis:

Margaret (Rebecca Hall) leads a successful and orderly life, perfectly balancing the demands of her busy career and single parenthood to her fiercely independent daughter Abbie. Everything is under control. But that careful balance is upended when an unwelcome shadow from her past, David (Tim Roth) returns, carrying with him the horrors of Margaret’s past. Battling her rising fear, Margaret must confront the monster she’s evaded for two decades who has come to conclude their unfinished business.

If you want, you can read my review of the film here. Even though I didn’t care for the movie, it doesn’t mean you won’t. As I said, it did get some good reviews from people. If the trailer looks interesting to you, you can check out the film when it’s released in theaters and on VOD starting August 5th, 2022.
