AVENGERS: ENDGAME Writers Think a Captain America and Peggy Carter Film or Series is a Possibility

For those of you wondering if there could be a series of adventures that include Captain America and Peggy Carter, the writers of Avengers: Endgame think it’s a possibility.

Before I dive into this, I’m going to throw up a spoiler warning just in case some people still haven’t seen the movie yet.

As you know, Peggy Carter appeared in Avengers: Endgame and Steve Rogers went back in time to the 40s, married her, and lived a long happy life with her. A lot of fans have wondered if we might see a film or TV series that show us what kind of adventures they had together.

When asked by Fandango about the possibility of a TV show or movie for these characters, Endgame writer Christopher Markus said:

“Possibly. I think maybe all I did was Steve was a stay-at-home dad and Peggy went to work at S.H.I.E.L.D. I don’t know that there were any adventures.”

The adventures of Captain America Dad! Ok, it might not be the kind of story fans would want to see, all I know is that there had to be some adventures! It’s Captain freakin’ America and Peggy Carter! Markus seems to be showing a lack of imagination here.

When previously talking about Caps story arc in Endgame and why they didn’t end up killing him, McFeely said:

“From the very first outline, we knew he was going to get his dance. On a separate subject, I started to lose my barometer on what was just fan service and what was good for the character. Because I think it’s good for the characters. But we also just gave you what you wanted. Is that good? I don’t know. But I’ll tell you, it’s satisfying. He’s postponed a life in order to fulfill his duty. That’s why I didn’t think we were ever going to kill him. Because that’s not the arc. The arc is, I finally get to put my shield down because I’ve earned that.”

That being said, maybe Cap didn’t really do much. Maybe he was just a stay at home dad! He went on to say, Steve’s arc is “about trying to find some personal life, you know? Like he’s been a man for others for so long, when does he get to be a man for himself? And how is that not selfish? How is that just earned?”

So Steve Rogers found a way to find a life and it is a life that he so desperately wanted. I just can’t help but think that there’s a much bigger story to tell. Cap doesn’t seem like the kind of guy that wouldn’t get back into the action to help save people.

I wonder if he ever had any conversation with Howard Stark about his son Tony.

STAR WARS: RISE OF SKYWALKER Concept Art Features a Crazy Lightsaber Fight Between Rey and Kylo Ren

The cover art for a new Star Wars book called The Art of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has been released, and it shows a crazy image of a cool lightsaber battle between Kylo Ren and Rey.

What makes this image so interesting is the fact that the two characters are in two different settings that mirror each other and their lightsabers are clashing.

This might actually be our first look at a new way of Force Fighting that we’ve previously reported on. Before I dive into the deals of that, I’m going to throw up a spoiler warning to be safe.

spolier-alert.png

The new way of Force Fighting that was previously rumored has been called “Force Flash Fighting.” It is explained that Rey and Kylo have become more powerful over time and when they meet again and fight, “the environment changes behind the leads as they battle it out with their lightsabers.” It’s explained that the backgrounds change between places we have seen “throughout Star Wars’ vast locations from the nine part Skywalker saga.”

This official concept art shows that as they are Force Flash Fighting, they will also be battling from completely different locations with each other, which is sure to make these fight scenes unlike anything we’ve ever seen before in a Star Wars film.

I’m really excited to see how this is actually going to look in the movie. If J.J. Abrams and his team can effectively pull this off, it’s going to look awesome!

The movie hits theaters on December 20th, 2019.

Wonderful Trailer For Seth Green’s New Film CHANGELAND with Breckin Meyer, Macaulay Culkin, and Brenda Song

Seth Green is making his feature directorial debut with a film titled Changeland. He also brought several other actors you might remember from your childhood along for the ride.

The movie has a great cast that includes Breckin Meyer, Macaulay Culkin, Brenda Song, Clare Grant, Kedar Williams-Stirling, Rose Williams, and Randy Orton. This film actually looks like it’s going to be a great heartfelt movie that audiences will enjoy.

He’s a brief story description:

Instead of wallowing, Brandon (Green) decides to take his best friend, Dan (Meyer), on the trip to Thailand where their friendship is exposed as potentially strained due to Brandon’s marriage.

The pair soon meet a compassionate tour guides Pen (Song) and Dory (Grant), bond with honeymooners Emma (Williams) and Marc (Williams-Stirling) and have an adventure with Ian (Culkin), a boat operator looking for a good time, and local legend Martin (Randy Orton).

This film tells a story that I can actually strongly relate to. While talking about the film in an interview with People, Green explained that the inspiration for the film came after he took a trip to Thailand.

“I fell in love with Thailand on a real-life adventure with one of my best friends and was inspired to tell a positive story about friendship and choosing the life you want rather than the life you are told you should have.”

Changeland is set to be released on June 7th, and it’s a film I’ll definitely be checking out.

That Huge New SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME Multiverse Reveal Will Drastically Change the MCU

interesting-new-spider-man-far-from-home-reveal-will-drastically-change-the-mcu-social.jpg

There was a major new detail revealed in the new trailer from Spider-Man: Far From Home that tells us the events of Avengers: Endgame have drastically changed the MCU as we know it. Why? because it introduces us to the multiverse.

If you haven’t seen Avengers: Endgame or the new Spider-Man trailer yet, watch them before you jump into the discussion of spoilers.

As most of you already know, at the end of Avengers: Endgame we see Peter Parker go back to high school after being gone for five years. While he hasn’t aged, at least half of his graduating class grew up and moved on with their lives.

The film also saw Captain America travel through time and space to put back the Infinity Stones to keep the universe intact, but maybe something went wrong with that and the MCU was shaken up in a more interesting way.

In the new Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer we learn that Mysterio, who Spidey is asked to team up with by Nick Fury, comes from a different Earth! Wait, what!? This detail will certainly make the MCU a lot more interesting! Spider-Man even asks, “you’re saying there’s a multiverse?”

Now, I will say that there is a possibility that Mysterio is lying about where he comes from, but it may also explain the “mystical” abilities that he has. We still aren’t really sure what his full story arc will be. But while the trailers for the film show him as Spider-Man’s ally, a lot of fans think that he will be the real villain controlling The Elementals. I hope that’s not the case because it seems too predictable.

But, if Mysterio really does end up being from a different Earth, then maybe the Avengers didn’t fix things the way they thought. The fact that Captain America fought himself and Loki escaped with the tesseract in 2012, a number of parallel dimensions and timelines could have been created.

In the end, it wouldn’t be surprising if the events of Avengers: Endgame opened up a multiverse. After all, the comics play with the multiverse, and it would make sense for the MCU to play with it as well.

But there’s always the chance that Mysterio is just bullshitting everyone to build himself up more and make himself look more special than he really is. We’ll just have to wait and see! But, if the Multiverse is going to be a real thing that Marvel plays with, it’s going to be a fun way to introduce lots of new characters! Some of those characters could come from the X-Men and Fantastic Four properties.

I imagine that if this multiverse thing is true, and Mysterio isn’t lying, we are going to see Marvel Studios build up an epic new story arc over the next ten years and then watch the multiverse collide at the end of it. That would be incredible!

What do you all think about this new MCU multiverse reveal? Do you think Mysterio really is from an alternate Earth? Do you think he’s lying? What would you like to see from the multiverse? How do you think it will affect the MCU?
