Hot Toys Reveals Their Wicked Cool VENOM Artist Mix Action Figure

Hot Toys has revealed their new Venom Artist Mix action figure, and this thing is pretty damn awesome! This is the version of Venom that I would have loved to see in the film and I’m curious to see if director Andy Serkis keeps that same design or changes it up for the sequel. It would be cool to see the white spider symbol on the anti-hero’s chest.

The design of this Venom figure comes from INSTINCTOY and it’s a vinyl-made figure. The design is based on the appearance of Venom in Marvel Comics as part of Marvel Comics 80th anniversary. The figure is approximately 34cm in height, and you’ve gotta love the hulking physique and glossy black skin color scheme with reflective blue tones.

Here’s the description and some more photos to enjoy:

Hot Toys continues to collaborate with different talented artists and designers to bring in more diversity to fans and collectors. Joining Hiroto Ohkubo for the first time, Hot Toys is very delighted today to present the mind-blowing creative work – Venom Artist Mix Figure Designed by INSTINCTOY to celebrate Marvel Comics 80th Anniversary!

The character is a sentient alien Symbiote with an amorphous, liquid-like form, who requires a host, usually human, to bond with for its survival. After bonding with a human host, the Symbiote bestows its enhanced powers upon the host. When the Venom Symbiote bonds with a human, that new dual-life form usually refers to itself, in plural first person pronouns, as “Venom”.

The vinyl-made Venom Artist Mix Figure is specially crafted based on the appearance of Venom in Marvel Comics. Measures approximately 34cm in height, the re-imagined figure portrays the ominous presence of Venom through his hulking physique, glossy black skin color scheme with reflective blue tones, distinctive web-like patterns in white stretched across his chest, two newly developed interchangeable heads sculpts including a grinning head sculpt and one with his signature long sprawling tongue. Designed to be a semi-articulated body with the ability to perform head, wrist and ankle movements.

Available only in selected markets. Experience the dreaded feeling the web slinger feels whenever he meets the terrifying and aggressive villain! Reserve space for this truly impressive art piece for your Marvel Venom collection!

What do you think of this action figure design for Venom?

As a result of being caught in a helicopter explosion, he is heavily scarred and mute. To hide his face, he usually appears in a black balaclava and matching bodysuit.

The spinoff will be directed by Robert Schwentke (REDR.I.P.D.) from a screenplay by Evan Spiliotopoulous (Bright 2The Huntsman: Winter’s War), who is currently working on the script. Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Brian Goldner will produce.

Fisher and Sarah Lampert’s upcoming coming-of-age drama Ginny & Georgia which centers on the relationship between the titular mother and daughter. Written by Lampert, Ginny & Georgia is an hour-long series which will follow the story of angsty and awkward fifteen-year-old Ginny Miller who often feels more mature than her thirty-year-old mother, the irresistible and dynamic Georgia Miller. After years on the run, Georgia desperately wants to put down roots in picturesque New England and give her family something they’ve never had… a normal life. For Ginny, that means navigating a prestigious school, rising popularity, and complicated love interests. HBO Max Is Preparing to Spend Big Bucks For The Streaming Rights to THE BIG BANG THEORY, TWO AND A HALF MEN, and Possibly SEINFELD

seinfeld.jpg

The streaming battle is heating up as it’s beginning to feel like every network is getting their own streaming service. With NBC coming out with their service, everything is being a little shaken up as they are going to be pulling The Office back to its home network, which has been a major draw to Netflix in years past. Now HBO Max is looking to see which pieces of the pie they can get their hands on. And they’ve got the money to throw at their choices. HBO Max has already shelled out $425 Million for Friends, which will be a total cash cow. Now they are looking to add a few more.

The two Chuck Lorre mega-hits, The Big Bang Theory and Two and a Half Men, are currently up for grabs and HBO Max has their eye on them. Rumors are saying the two series could go for $1.5 billion. That’s insane! Deadline reports that some of the reason for that price tag is that neither of these series have been streamed before, and both boast good numbers and a lot of seasons, so fans could easily be drawn to watch the shows.

The other series that the streamer would like to get its hands on is the classic, uber-popular series,Seinfeld. Sony currently has the rights to the series, and it is running at Hulu until 2021, but would be a major catch at that time for any streaming service. While I like The Big Bang Theory, I don’t think it would convince me to subscribe to a streaming service. Seinfeld, though, might make me make the jump though. It’s one of our favorite household series, and if it wasn’t on TV so much, I’d make sure I had a way to watch it regularly. Netflix could also be throwing its hat in the ring for the series, as it just lost two of its biggest shows, and they already have a major deal with Jerry Seinfeld for his series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.

I guess we will just have to wait and see where the chips fall. Which of these series are favorites of yours? What old show would make you subscribe to a streaming service?

Meet the Park Family: the picture of aspirational wealth. And the Kim Family, rich in street smarts but not much else. Be it chance or fate, these two houses are brought together and the Kims sense a golden opportunity. Masterminded by college-aged Ki-woo, the Kim children expediently install themselves as tutor and art therapist, to the Parks. Soon, a symbiotic relationship forms between the two families. The Kims provide “indispensable” luxury services while the Parks obliviously bankroll their entire household. When a parasitic interloper threatens the Kims’ newfound comfort, a savage, underhanded battle for dominance breaks out, threatening to destroy the fragile ecosystem between the Kims and the Parks.

Parasite is a peculiar tale about two families who are worlds apart yet somewhat alike, portraying a striking reality of the world we live in. The film stars Lee Sun-Kyun (A Hard Day), Cho Yeo-Jeong (Obsessed), Choi Woo-Shik (Okja), Park So-Dam (The Priests), and Chang Hyae-Jin (Poetry).

After his 2003 debut Memories of Murder, Bong made a real splash with American audiences with his 2007 monster movie The Host and 2010’s horror-adjacent Mother. More recently, he directed the big-budget sci-fi film Snowpiercer, as well as the family film Okja for Netflix. Parasite marks the filmmaker’s triumphant return to theaters.

In addition to marking a reunion between Joon-Ho and star Song Kang-Ho (SnowpiercerThe Host), the film also marks the fifth collaboration between NEON’s CEO Tom Quinn and the 49-year-old South Korean director, with their work on the sci-fi hit Snowpiercer still proving to be one of the highest-grossing multiplatform titles in history.

Parasite recently debuted at the Cannes Film Festival to critical raves, currently maintaining a 97% approval rating from 36 critics on review aggregate Rotten Tomatoes and taking home the Palme d’Or from the festival. It will hit theaters in Los Angeles and New York in typical arthouse fashion beginning October 11.
