The Walking Dead Season 10 Finale Sneak Peek Released
AMC has released a new sneak peek for The Walking Dead Season 10 finale from the 16th episode of the season titled “A Certain Doom,” premiering on Sunday, October 4. You can check out the sneak peek now in the video below!
The Walking Dead Season 11 will air in 2021 and it was also announced that Season 10 will be getting six additional episodes in its tenth season which will air early next year.
The Walking Dead is a story that started 10 years ago with one man trying to find his family. That family grew and gradually communities took shape. They fought and survived, thrived and gave birth to a new generation. It is a tale of humankind and there are more stories to tell.
It is now Spring, a few months after the end of Season 9 when our group of survivors dared to cross into Whisperer territory during the harsh winter. The collected communities are still dealing with the after-effects of Alpha’s horrific display of power, reluctantly respecting the new borderlines being imposed on them, all while organizing themselves into a militia-style fighting force, preparing for a battle that may be unavoidable.
But the Whisperers are a threat unlike any they have ever faced. Backed by a massive horde of the dead it is seemingly a fight they cannot win. The question of what to do and the fear it breeds will infect the communities and give rise to paranoia, propaganda, secret agendas, and infighting that will test them as individuals and as a society. The very idea of whether civilization can survive in a world filled with the dead hangs in the balance.
The Walking Dead stars Norman Reedus, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Cailey Fleming, Josh McDermitt, Christian Serratos, Seth Gilliam, Ross Marquand, Khary Payton, Cooper Andrews, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Avi Nash, Nadia Hilker, Lauren Ridloff, Angel Theory, Dan Fogler, Samantha Morton, and Ryan Hurst. Thora Birch and Kevin Carroll joined the cast for Season 10.
Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Jurnee Smollett (Lovecraft Country), and Miles Teller (Whiplash) have all signed on to star in the upcoming Netflix feature adaptation, Spiderhead. The sci-fi thriller is based on the short story by George Saunders, and it’s being adapted by writing partners Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (Deadpool, Zombieland), with Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick) directing.
Here’s the synopsis:
Spiderhead is set in the near future, when convicts are offered the chance to volunteer as medical subjects in hopes of shortening their sentences. The focus is on two prisoners who become the test patients for emotion-altering drugs that force the prisoners to grapple with their pasts in a facility run by a brilliant visionary who supervises the program.
This sounds like a really solid cast and crew of talent! I am also intrigued by the story. This sounds like it could be a fun thriller to watch. Are you looking forward to Spiderhead?
The Haunting of Bly Manor Featurette: Go Behind-the-Scenes with Creator Mike Flanagan
Netflix has released a new behind-the-scenes video for The Haunting of Bly Manor, featuring Mike Flanagan, the creator of the acclaimed The Haunting horror anthology series, and executive producer Trevor Macy talking about the road from 2018’s The Haunting of Hill House to the new installment. The Haunting of Bly Manor is inspired by Henry James’ psychological gothic horror novella The Turn of The Screw, which takes place almost entirely in an old country mansion. There, two young orphans are looked after by a young governess by whom most of the story is narrated by. Flanagan revealed that the season will actually adapt dozens of James’ horror stories, in addition to The Turn of the Screw.
The cast includes Hill House alums Victoria Pedretti (You), Oliver Jackson-Cohen (The Invisible Man), Henry Thomas (E.T.), and Catherine Parker (Absentia), as well as T’Nia Miller (Years and Years), Rahul Kohli (iZombie), Amelia Eve, Benjamin Ainsworth and Amelie Smith (EastEnders).
Pedretti will play the governess, Dani, who is looking after two unique children. Jackson-Cohen will play Peter, “a charming fellow.” Ainsworth and Smith will star as Miles and Flora from James’ novella, while Miller, Eve, and Kohli are set to star in lead roles.
A modern reimagining of Shirley Jackson’s iconic novel of the same name, The Haunting of Hill House Season 1 explored a group of siblings who, as children, grew up in what would go on to become the most famous haunted house in the country. Now adults, and forced back together in the face of tragedy, the family must finally confront the ghosts of their past — some of which still lurk in their minds while others may actually be stalking the shadows of Hill House. Created, directed and executive-produced by horror mastermind Mike Flanagan (Gerald’s Game), The Haunting of Hill House is a complex family drama wrapped in a chilling horror story. Trevor Macy served as executive producer alongside Flanagan. Meredith Averill acts as co-showrunner and executive producer. Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank executive produce, as well.
The Haunting of Hill House is written, directed and executive produced by Flanagan. His producing partner Trevor Macy will also executive produce alongside Amblin TV’s Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey.
First Look: The Walking Dead Coming to Magic the Gathering
Wizards of the Coast has today announced their latest Magic: The Gathering Secret Lair drop, a one-of-a-kind crossover with the universe of AMC’s The Walking Dead, which will be launching October 4. This super-limited drop will include an all-premium-foil set of cards, with all but one of them being revealed in the coming weeks and the last one being kept a secret for players to discover. AMC’s The Walking Dead Secret Lair drop will be open for pre-order for a very limited time between October 4 and October 12. The Sun., Oct. 4, launch will coincide with AMC’s “We Are The Walking Dead Weekend,” beginning with The Walking Dead Special Event: The Whisperer War Final Showdown at 9/8c, followed by the premiere of The Walking Dead: World Beyond at 10/9c, and ending with a special episode of Talking Dead at 11/10c, where fans can anticipate an unboxing and preview of the cards. With this, the set will be available for preorder at 11:30pm ET.

Director James Cameron has offered an update on his first two Avatar sequels. During a recent video call ahead of the 2020 Austrian World Summit environmental conference, Cameron spoke to Arnold Schwarzenegger and revealed that Avatar 2 is completely finished and thatAvatar 3 is almost done.
The sequels were shot back to back, and it seems like they’ve been in production forever, so it makes sense that they would almost be done! Cameron explained:
“COVID hit us like it hit everybody. We lost about four and a half months of production. As a result of that, we’ve rolled around one more full year for a release in December of 2022. That’s been announced already. Now that doesn’t mean I have an extra year to finish the film, because the day we deliver Avatar 2 we’ll just start working on finishing Avatar 3.”
“So where we are right now. I’m down in New Zealand shooting. We’re shooting the remainder of the live action. We’ve got about 10 percent left to go. We’re 100 percent complete on Avatar 2, and we’re sort of 95 percent complete on Avatar 3.”
Once Cameron is finished with these films, there are tentative plans in place to start work on Avatar 4and 5. I imagine that sequel won’t move forward until Disney sees if Avatar 2 and 3 will be box office successes.
Producer Jon Landau has talked about the upcoming sequel and what we can expect from it. When talking about the story that the sequel will tell, he shared the following tease:
“This is the story of the Sully family and what one does to keep their family together. Jake and Neytiri have a family in this movie, they are forced to leave their home, they go out and explore the different regions of Pandora, including spending quite a bit of time on the water, around the water, in the water.”
It’s also been explained that Avatar 2 is set several years after Avatar. “At the center of each of our four movies will be the Sully family. Each sequel will play as a standalone movie. Each movie’s story will come to its own conclusion… However, when looked at as a whole, the journey across all four movies will create an even larger connected epic saga for audiences around the world.”
Landau also previously opened up about the setting for the sequels, saying:
“As we’ve moved on with the sequels to Avatar we made a very conscious decision to stage the whole four sequels on Pandora. We don’t need to go to another world if we want water, we’re going to go to the oceans of Pandora.
”It’s a continuation of the same characters, but what happen when warriors that are willing to go on suicide charges, and leap off cliffs on to the back of big orange toruks, what happens when they grow up and have their own kids? It becomes a very different story. Now the kids are the risk-takers and the change-makers. So, it’s interesting, but it makes sense to me. Everybody’s either a parent, or they had parents at the very least, and if you look at the big successful franchises now, they’re pretty much uninterested in that.”
It was also revealed that there are different clans of Na’vi all over Pandora:
“We’re going to go to totally different environments, we’re going to meet different cultures. Just like our planet is as diverse culturally as we are environmentally. We want to introduce people to different cultures. In the first movie, we only met the Omaticaya clan, and they are the clan here allowing us to come to the Valley of Mo’ara. But as we venture out we’re going to different environments and different clans.”
Cameron also previously explained that Stephen Lang’s Colonel Miles Quaritch will be the main villain throughout the sequels.
The Avatar sequels also star Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Joel David Moore, Dileep Rao, Stephen Lang, and Matt Gerald. New cast members include Kate Winslet, Edie Falco, Michelle Yeoh, Vin Diesel, Jemaine Clement, and Oona Chaplin.
James Cameron’s Avatar 2 will be released in theaters on December 16th, 2022.
