Renegade Game Studios recently made a big announcement. One of their bigger games is Power Rangers: Heroes of the Grid in partnership with Hasbro, and it appears things are going great for them as the partnership between the companies is growing. Renegade will now be making games for G.I. Joe, My Little Pony, and Transformers. Details for these games will be revealed in the coming months, but you can head over and join the newsletter to be among the first to learn about the new titles.

If you’re a Power Rangers fan, Heroes of the Grid is just the tip of the iceberg. For a while now, we’ve known that the team at Renegade has been working on a new Power Rangers game, and now we know a little bit more. We know that there are two new Power Rangers games in the works.

First, we have a new deck-building game which I’m excited about. Then, we’ve got an RPG that will be compatible with Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition. I’m excited for this one, but also a little sad that it’ll be based on 5E instead of being its own thing entirely. Both of these games will be available to demo during Renegade Con (October 9-11) and at Renegade’s Morphin Meet starting October 23. Fans can expect the games to be available in the second quarter of 2021.

In addition, Renegade announced that they’ll be launching new websites for these new Hasbro games this fall. Fans will find information about organized play, achievements, events, and more like the current free monthly scenarios for Heroes of the Grid. Scott Gaeta of Renegade said:

Hasbro has brought so much joy to fans through these worlds filled with rich narratives and iconic characters. We are excited to expand our relationship with Hasbro to help bring these stories to hobby tabletops in a new way.

Casey Collins of Hasbro said:

We’re thrilled to expand our relationship with Renegade Game Studios to include more fan favorite brands from our portfolio. The tabletop and roleplaying games Renegade Game Studios innovated for the Power Rangers franchise have proved to authentically connect with both gamers and the Ranger Nation and we are confident that G.I. Joe, Transformers and My Little Pony fans will love the exciting games coming soon.

I’m super excited for these new games!

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered Gets a New Face For Peter Parker

The graphics aren’t the only thing getting a facelift in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered when it hits Playstation 5 later this year. James Stevenson, Insomniac Games Community Director, revealed via Playstation’s official blog that John Bubniak is no longer the facial model for Peter Parker. Instead, Ben Jordan’s likeness will now appear in the game as Peter. However, Yuri Lowenthal’s vocal performance as Peter remains in the game (via SuperHeroHype). The net effect makes Peter seem much younger in the Remastered Edition. Jordan’s resemblance to MCU Spider-Man Tom Holland is also hard to ignore.

You can see for yourself in the clip below. It features an important scene between Peter and his mentor, Otto Octavious. This is also an early glimpse of Otto’s transformation into Doctor Octopus.

Insomniac Games creative director Bryan Intihar issued a statement on Peter’s radically different look in the PS5 remastered update, which you can view below (via SuperHeroHype):

Additionally, Stevenson spoke about the upgrades for the city in the game.

“The team has done the painstaking work of updating the city’s environment to take advantage of the new console. Beyond improved models and materials, one of the biggest things we have brought to the game is ray-traced reflections and ambient shadows. We now have true reflections on the windows of buildings, and it looks stunning with our new skies and weather.”

Finally, Stevenson unveiled the first of three new costumes in the remastered edition. Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man suit from the Amazing Spider-Man films.

Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered will be a digital release included with the Spider-Man: Miles Morales Deluxe Edition. Both games will hit stores on November 12.

Music Video for Billie Eilish’s James Bond Theme ‘No Time To Die’

The music video has been released for Billie Eilish’s James Bond theme song “No Time to Die,” and you can check it out below. The music video features a bit of footage from the film, but it’s mostly just Eilish singing in black and white. I’m personally not a fan of the song, but maybe some of you will like it! Check it out!

The movie is being directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, and in the story, “Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.” That technology will reportedly be based on genetic warfare.

The movie stars Daniel Craig as Bond, Rami Malek as the villain Safin, Lea Seydoux is playing Madeleine Swann, Ralph Fiennes is back as M, Naomie Harris as Moneypenny, and Ben Whishaw as Q, with Rory Kinnear as Tanner, Christoph Waltz as Blofeld, and Jeffrey Wright as Felix Leiter. New cast members include Dali Benssalah, Billy Magnussen, David Dencik, and Lashana Lynch.

The film will hit theaters on November 20th.

Peter Parker Gets a New Face in MARVEL’S SPIDER-MAN REMASTERED for PS5 and There’s a Performance Mode First Look

Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is coming to the PS5 soon with the purchase of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. A recent PlayStation Blog post touched on the remastered title, talking about graphical upgrades such as new textures, new models, and ray-tracing. However, beyond just a simple graphics overhaul, there’s a big change that fans will notice: Peter Parker’s face is different.

It turns out that Peter Parker has been recast. Yuri Lowenthal’s voice work and facial capture are still being used, but for MSMR the face will no longer be John Bubniak’s. Instead, fans will get to see Ben Jordan’s mug. In the blog, it states:

In order to bring the best performances to players with our next-generation Marvel’s Spider-Man games, we have recast the face of Peter Parker. We loved working with John Bubniak on the original game; however, to get a better match to Peter Parker/Spider-Man actor Yuri Lowenthal’s facial capture, we have cast Ben Jordan to be the face model for Peter Parker on the PS5 console. He looks incredible in-game, and Yuri’s moving performances take on a new life.

Interesting move. I’ll be honest and admit that for a moment I thought they had grabbed Tom Holland and given him a wig or something. You can watch Jordan’s face in action in the trailer below.

They also shared a first look at Performance Mode for the game, which you can watch below:

One final thing I wanted to bring up is the reveal of a new suit for the game. The Amazing Suit will be one of three new suits available in the game for fans to collect. Does this get you excited for playing through once again?
