korgi_end_seasons.jpg

This month, IDW Publishing will be releasing the final book in the Korgi series of novels. The fifth book in the graphic novel series for children from author Christian Slade is titled Korgi: End of Seasons and will be available to read on March 30. IDW has given GeekTyrant an exclusive look at three pages from the book, and I can’t help but love the adorable puppy.

Winter has arrived in Korgi Hollow… and with it, the end of the Korgi story. As Ivy and her Korgi pup Sprout frolic in the frozen weather, an ancient power is stirring. At long last, saddle up for the conclusion of this “silent” epic fairytale told entirely through detailed pen-and-ink drawings. Fire and ice will collide in a timeless battle between good and evil. Will the residents of Korgi Hollow survive the harsh cold? One thing is for sure: nothing will ever be the same.

You can pre-order your copy of Korgi: End of Seasons now through local book stores, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and more.

The Woman in the Window Sets Release Date For Netflix Debut

Netflix has finally announced the release date for Joe Wright’s upcoming thriller film The Woman in the Window. Originally set for theatrical release, the Amy Adams-led film will now be available for streaming on May 14. The announcement comes after nearly two months since Netflix successfully acquired the rights to the long-delayed feature from 20th Century Studios. The Woman in the Window was first delayed back in 2019 due to negative test screenings. Because of this, it had to go through reshoots to correct some confusing plot points.

Adams will next be seen in the film adaptation of the hit Broadway musical Dear Evan Hansen. She is also set to reprise her iconic role as Giselle in Disney+’s upcoming Enchanted sequel titled Disenchanted.

In The Woman in the Window, an agoraphobic child psychologist befriends a neighbor across the street from her New York City brownstone, only to see her own life turned upside down when the woman disappears and she suspects foul play. A stellar ensemble cast brings Tracy Letts’ screenplay based on the gripping, best-selling novel to life, where shocking secrets are revealed, and no one-and nothing-is what it seems.

Pick up your copy of the A.J. Finn novel here!

The film features an A-list ensemble that includes five-time Academy-Award nominee Amy Adams (Arrival) and Academy-Award winners Julianne Moore (Still Alice) and Gary Oldman; the latter reuniting with his Darkest Hour director. It will also star Anthony Mackie, Wyatt Russell, Brian Tyree Henry, and Jennifer Jason Leigh.

The Woman in the Window is directed by Joe Wright from a script written by Tracy Letts. It is produced by Scott Rudin (Lady Bird, No Country for Old Men), Eli Bush (Lady Bird, Annihilation), and Antony Katagas.

GUILD WARS 2 Drops New Trailer for The Icebrood Saga’s Continuing Finale – “Balance”

The third chapter of Guild Wars 2’s finale to The Icebrood Sage is almost here and we have an awesome new trailer. Chapter 3: Balance will bring three new Dragon Response Missions to Caledon Forest, Bloodtide Coast, and Fireheart Rise as you’ll have to help save the countryside. In addition, Braham gets the spotlight in the new story mission as we see him get one step closer to fulfilling his destiny with the Spirits of the Wild. Say what you will, but I’ve actually been enjoying the Dragon Response Missions and am excited for the new ones to drop.

Faction recruitment will add the fan favorite Tengus who will make their weapons available to new allies. Three additional factions will release in the coming weeks with one new faction every 2 weeks until April 20. The Dragonslayer weapons will also get their third tier and a new skritt scepter will “sparkle alluringly for those who desire more shiny baubles for their weapon inventory.” The third chapter will be available for all players who own Path of Fire starting March 9. Chapter 4: Judgement will follow in late April.

Fascinating Trailer For a Groundbreaking Immersive New Series CALLS From EVIL DEAD Director Fede Álvarez

Apple TV+ has released a trailer for an interesting new series titled Calls, which comes from Evil Dead and Don’t Breathe director Fede Álvarez. The series is described as being unlike anything we’ve ever seen or heard before.

The series is told entirely through 12-minute phone conversations and it will also feature “minimal abstract visuals” and it’s pretty creepy and unsettling. The series stars Aubrey Plaza, Rosario Dawson, Nick Jonas, Lily Collins, Pedro Pascal, Karen GillanNick JonasJudy Greer, and more.

Here’s the synopsis for the series:

Based on the buzzy French series of the same name, Calls is a groundbreaking immersive television experience that masterfully uses only audio and minimal abstract visuals to tell bone-chilling snackable stories. Launching in a binge model worldwide, all nine 12-minute episodes are told through a series of phone calls that use sharp writing, compelling voice talent and graphics to aid in transcribing the darkly dramatic conversations onto the screen. These relatable scenarios transport the audience into familiar situations that quickly become surreal with thrilling and frightening moments. Calls proves that the real terror lies in one’s interpretation of what they cannot see on the screen and the unsettling places one’s imagination can take them.

The series drops on Apple TV+ on March 19th and I’m looking forward to watching it.
