Bella Thorne To Star in a New Murder Thriller SAINT CLAIRE From The Writer of AMERICAN PSYCHO

Bella Thorne (Midnight SunThe DUFFThe Babysitter) has landed another acting gig and she is set to star in a new thriller titled Saint Clare, co-written by Guinevere Turner, who also wrote American Psycho.

Thorne will take on the role of Clare Bleecker, “a quiet catholic college student with a divine vocation for killing.” The story is based on novel Clare At 16 by Don Roff, with its novel sequel, which is coming out in 2023

The film will be directed by Mitzi Peirone (Braid), who also worked on the script with Turner. There is also additional casting in the works including the inclusion of Rebecca DeMornay (Risky Business, The Hand that Rocks the Cradle, Jessica Jones).

Screen Media picked up the rights to the film, and in a statement, they said: “With such a talented pedigree, we’re thrilled to be continuing our relationship with Cassian Elwes and his Elevated Films banner and working with Bella Thorne again on this powerful project that will captivate audiences.”

Producer Arielle Elwes added: “We’re thrilled to be working with the incredible Bella Thorne; she is so perfect for the role. Mitzi is the real thing, and I can’t wait to see what she cooks up for what will be a great franchise.”

Production on the film is scheduled to begin soon in Kentucky.

Oscar Isaac Says There Are No Plans To Continue MOON KNIGHT

There’s been a lot of speculation going on regarding Moon Knight continuing with a Season 2 recently. For those of you hoping to see the series continue, Oscar Isaac has some bad news for you. Doing a recent interview with Radio Times, the actor said that there are no official plans to continue the series:

“You know, I think we approached it as ‘this is the story, and let’s just put everything out on the table on this story. There’s definitely no official plans to continue it. I think it would depend on what the story is.”

That’s kind of a shame to hear because there’s so much more story to tell with this character! Director Mohamed Diab would even love to tell more stories with the character, as he said: “I dream and wish for a film. But with Marvel, the way they play it, it’s not like you graduate into a film. You can go into a film and come to a TV show and go back.” He went on to say that he could see the character being played with in the MCU over the next 10 years:

“But I can tell you for a fact, I can see him in the next 10 years, not just the next film. He’s a very interesting character. He’s probably the most interesting character for any actor to play. Oscar is doing a great job. People already like him even from the trailer. I think the show’s going to resonate with people, so I see him staying for a long time.”

Maybe Isaac is just managing expectations in his comments, but I would really love to see him back in action as Moon Knight. He’s just such a fun and likable character and Isaac says he had fun playing him! If the right story presents itself, he does say he’d be happy to come back:

“That being said, I love being Steven. I just love it. It’s just like, physically, it’s so much fun to be him. So, you know, if there was a story that really made sense, I’d be happy to be part of it.”

When Ethan Hawke (Arthur Harrow) was asked about the future of the series, he said: “Do you want to play the same character for long periods of time? Most actors don’t. But if you’re making audiences happy, your opinion changes.”

May Calamawy (Layla El-Faouly) added: “I’ve not heard anything. So if there [are plans], I’m yet to hear. If there were, I would, yeah, I’d consider returning. Of course.”

I guess we’ll all just have to wait and see what Marvel and the creative team come up with when and if they are ready to move forward with the next chapter of the story.

Trailer For Netflix’s New Action Thriller INTERCEPTOR

Netflix released a trailer for its upcoming new action movie titled Interceptor. The story is set on a nuclear missile interceptor base in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and a young Army Captain that is sent there to run it. As you might expect, things take a turn for the worst shortly after she arrives.

She must “use her years of tactical training & military expertise when a coordinated terrorist attack threatens the remote missile interceptor station she is in command of in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.”

The movie looks silly and cheesy but it also looks like it could be a good time. I’m willing to give it a shot! Here’s the synopsis:

The tough and reality-bruised Captain JJ Collins (Elsa Pataky) finds herself in charge of a lone nuclear missile interceptor base in the middle of the Pacific Ocean after she is wrongfully drummed out of her dream job at the Pentagon. When a simultaneous coordinated attack then threatens the base itself, Collins comes face-to-face with the charismatic yet crooked Alexander Kessel (Luke Bracey), a former US military intelligence officer intent on carrying out an unthinkable plan. With minutes on the clock, Collins must utilize her years of tactical training and military expertise to determine who she can trust and stop Kessel and his covert mercenaries from completing their twisted and terrible mission.

Interceptor was directed by Matthew Reilly, who is directing from a script he co-wrote with Stuart Beattie (Tomorrow When the War Began, I, Frankenstein). Pataky is joined by Luke Bracey, Aaron Glenane, Mayen Mehta, Rhys Muldoon, Belinda Jombwe, Marcus Johnson, Colin Friels, and Zoe Carides.

Interceptor will stream on Netflix starting June 3rd, 2022.

Teaser Trailer For Neil Patrick Harris’ Netflix Comedy Series UNCOUPLED

Neil Patrick Harris stars in an upcoming Netflix comedy series titled Uncoupled, and the first trailer for the eight-part show has been released.

The story follows a character named Michael, “who thought his life was perfect until his husband blindsides him by walking out the door after 17 years. Overnight, Michael has to confront two nightmares — losing what he thought was his soulmate and suddenly finding himself a single gay man in his mid-forties in New York City.”

I’ve enjoyed Neil Patrick Harris’ work over the years, and this looks like a perfect project for him. The series comes from Emily in Paris creator Darren Star and longtime Modern Family executive producer Jeffery Richman.

Netflix also revealed that the series will launch on July 29th.

Listen To Danny Elfman’s Full Soundtrack For DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS

Marvel’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hits theaters tonight! You’re finally going to be able to experience the insanity of this film, and if you want to prep your mind for what you are about to experience, you can now listen to the full soundtrack, which was composed by the great Danny Elfman!

The score for this movie is freakin’ fantastic! I’ve always enjoyed Danny Elfman’s style, and it was so cool that director Sam Raimi partnered up with him again to work on the Doctor Strange sequel.

There are a few different tracks that hint at the film’s content, including “Tribunal” and “Strange Statue.” Then there’s the final track on the album, which is titled “The Unexpected Visitor,” and that’s certainly going to get fans wondering what and who that could be! I know, but I’m not gonna tell you!

Anyway, enjoy the soundtrack! It’s available wherever you listen to music with a subscription.

Original THE MUNSTERS Cast Member Pat Priest Joins Rob Zombie’s Upcoming Film

Director Rob Zombie recently took to social media to confirm that one of the original cast members of The Munsters is set to appear in his upcoming movie. Pat Priest, who originally played Marilyn Munster has joined the cast. Zombie shared:

“So many of you have been asking…. “What about Marilyn?” Well, here she is! PAT PRIEST is now officially part of the new MUNSTERS movie. For once the rumors are true.”

The film follows a family of benign monsters who relocate from Transylvania to the American suburbs. The cast also includes Jeff Daniel Phillips as Herman Munster, Dan Roebuck as Grandpa Munster, Doctor Who and Hobbit actor Sylvester McCoy, who is playing Igor, “the faithful servant of the family,” Dee Wallace, Elvira actress Cassandra Peterson as a real estate agent, and Tomas Boykin as Lily Munster’s werewolf brother, Lester.

When previously talking about the film, Roebuck said, “I really hope audiences walk away feeling entertained and laughing. That’s all we really hope for making any movie, well, unless it’s a drama. If all goes well and people really like, maybe we’ll get the chance to do it again. I just hope people realize that they’ll have a whole new version of The Munsters that can live and co-exist side-by-side with the original version of The Munsters. No one wants to replace it, we all love it so much. We just want to shine a spotlight on it with our approach which I think is the best way to look at it.”

The movie is set up at Universal Studios’ 1440 Entertainment division, and it will likely go directly to streaming. No release date has been set yet for the film.

IMAX Poster For TOP GUN: MAVERICK, The Best Movie-Going Experience You’ll Have This Year

I have nothing but great things to say about Top Gun: Maverick! I saw the movie at CinemaCon last week, and it was freakin’ incredible! This is easily the best movie-going experience that audiences will have all year, and I can’t wait to see it again in IMAX. This movie was built for a big-screen theatrical experience.

I’ll be honest, having seen both Top Gun: Maverick and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, I’m more excited to get back to the theater to watch Top Gun again! I’m sure I’ll see them both in theaters multiple times, but Top Gun: Maverick was just one of the purest movie-going experiences you can get. I can’t wait for all of you to get to see it so you can experience for yourself what I experienced.

Anyway, IMAX released a new poster for the movie, which you can check out below!

Top Gun: Maverick stars Tom Cruise, who is reprising his role from the original film, and he will be joined by Miles Teller as Goose’s son, Glen Powell, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Ed Harris, Val Kilmer, and Lewis Pullman. Here’s the synopsis that was previously released:

After more than thirty years of service as one of the Navy’s top aviators, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell (Tom Cruise) is where he belongs, pushing the envelope as a courageous test pilot and dodging the advancement in rank that would ground him. When he finds himself training a detachment of Top Gun graduates for a specialized mission the likes of which no living pilot has ever seen, Maverick encounters Lt. Bradley Bradshaw (Miles Teller), call sign: “Rooster,” the son of Maverick’s late friend and Radar Intercept Officer Lt. Nick Bradshaw, aka “Goose.”

Facing an uncertain future and confronting the ghosts of his past, Maverick is drawn into a confrontation with his own deepest fears, culminating in a mission that demands the ultimate sacrifice from those who will be chosen to fly it.

The movie will be released on May 27th, 2022.

Hit Drama Series SWEET MAGNOLIAS Gets a Season 3 Renewal at Netflix

Netflix has announced that their hit drama series Sweet Magnolias has been given a Season 3 renewal. The series stars JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Brooke Elliott, and Heather Headley as three best friends in the town of Serenity, South Carolina. Garcia Swisher plays Maddie Townsend, a divorced woman with three children. Brooke Elliott plays chef and restaurant owner Dana Sue Sullivan. Heather Headley plays attorney Helen Decatur. The three of them make up the Sweet Magnolias, who have opened up a spa for women in the town that they run while navigating the dramatic ins and outs of their own lives.

The three are set to return to the third season alongside showrunner and executive producer Sheryl J. Anderson (Ties That Bind). The series is based on the Sweet Magnolias series of novels by author Sherryl Woods, who is also an executive producer on the show, and comes from Harlequin imprint Mira Books.

Season 2 ended with Maddie, Helen and Dana Sue mourning the passing of Miss Frances (Cindy Karr). At the funeral, Ryan (Michael Shenefelt) asks Helen (who’s now in a relationship with Erik, played by Dion Johnstone) to marry him, while Maddie learns that ex-husband Bill (Chris Klein) is the biological father of Isaac (Chris Medlin). Then she also learns that her love interest Cal (Justin Bruening) has been arrested.

I love this show. I’m excited for the story to continue. Seasons 1 and 2 are available to watch now on Netflix.

YU-GI-OH! Fans Can Look Forward to a New Holiday Box This November

Konami recently announced the 2022 Holiday Box for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG. This new product will be available on November 4 with an MSRP of $24.99. Inside, fans will find 1 pack of 70 card sleeves featuring 1 of 6 new designs including Sky Striker, Mayakashi, or Witchcrafter as well as 4 booster packs that each have 5 Ultra Rare cards. The cards will be “a mix of new and old cards” with none confirmed and we don’t even know how big the card pool will be. We do know that select cards will be available in the Egyptian Hieroglyphic Pharaoh’s Rare style which is pretty cool.

I do want to note that I’m impressed that we’re getting 70 card sleeves in this! This is something that I’ve been saying they should do for a while now since a duelist needs 70 sleeves to protect their Main Deck, Extra Deck, and Side Deck. I love this! As a final note, the box may get a name change as well, but we’ll keep you up to date when we have more information. What cards do you expect to see and which do you hope to see in this set?
