Kevin Bacon is set to star in a cool new series project for Blumhouse Television. It’s titled The Bondsman it’s been ordered straight-to-series at Amazon’s Prime Video. In the story, Bacon takes on the role of an undead bounty hunter, and that’s all I needed to hear to sell me on the show!
The official description says it “centers on Hub Halloran (Bacon), a backwoods bounty hunter who comes back from the dead with an unexpected second chance at life, love, and a nearly-forgotten musical career — only to find that his old job now has a demonic new twist.”
The project sounds like it will be a ton of fun! It’s an original idea from Grainger David, who wrote the script and will also executive produce. Erik Oleson will serve as showrunner and executive producer. Jason Blum is also a producer on the project.
Amazon has ordered eight half-hour episodes and production on the series will begin after the writer’s strike is over. This is going to be a great project for Bacon to be a part of and I’m looking forward to seeing how this story plays out!
