Director Sam Raimi’s highly anticipated Marvel film, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has a new official synopsis that we can share with you. It teases the multiversal misadventures and the villain of the story. Let’s just jump right into it!
In Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the MCU unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before. Journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary.
Benedict Cumberbatch is back as Doctor Strange in the film and he will be joined on his adventure by Wanda Maximoff, a.k.a. Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Oslen), Sorcerer Supreme Wong (Benedict Wong), Baron Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor), Christine Palmer (Rachel McAdams), and America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez). I’m anticipating some big surprises as well that haven’t been officially announced.
As for the “mysterious new adversary”, we aren’t exactly sure who that is, but the trailer did feature a darker Doctor Strange variant. However, we aren’t sure if he’s good or bad. You never know with these Marvel movies! Anything can happen and the studio loves misdirecting the fans in their film marketing. So, we’ll just have to wait and see!
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be in theaters on May 6th, 2022.
