It’s July now and that means that there’s new content on streaming platforms. IMDb has put together a list of movies and television shows that they’ve deemed the most anticipated to stream this month. I know that I am personally excited to watch Gunpowder Milkshake even if it didn’t make their list.

Movies

  • The Tomorrow War

    • Chris Pratt is sent into the future to defend human kind from alien destruction. Pratt’s journey as a family man trying to save the world delivers heart, explosions and a good dose of comedy – coming to Prime Video on July 2

  • Summer of Soul (…Or When The Revolution Could Not Be Televised)

    • Transport back to 1969 with never before seen recordings of Stevie Wonder, Nina Simone, Gladys Knight and more. Questlove’s directorial debut shines a light on the nearly forgotten Harlem cultural festival and it swept the documentary competition at Sundance this year – streaming on Hulu starting July 2.

  • No Sudden Move

    • Take Ocean’s 11 Director Steven Soderbergh, a script from the writer of Now You See Me and a star studded cast and you’ve got the makings of an instant classic crime movie with some pretty sloppy criminals. Coming to HBO Max July 1.

TV

  • Outer Banks

    • A romance set amidst a deadly treasure hunt and great summer vibes featuring breakout stars Madelyn Cline and Chase Stokes. Coming to Netflix July 30th.

  • The White Lotus

    • Streaming on HBO Max starting July 11, if you love succession you’ll appreciate this dark satire set at an exclusive Hawaiin resort. IMDb fan favorites Alexandra Daddario, Sydney Sweeney and Connie Britton are among the high end clientele who’s picture perfect vacation starts to spiral.

  • Virgin River

    • Coming back to Netflix July 9 back for season 3 featuring Alexandra Breckenridge and Martin Henderson.

  • Never Have I Ever

    • On July 15th, Mind Kaling’s cringey, hilarious teen rom-com Never Have I Ever drops season 2 on Netflix

  • Ted Lasso

    • The ultimate feel-good show is back July 23rd as Jason Sudeikis suits up for his second season of golden globe winning Ted Lasso.
