Screen Rant got to talk with the original Red Ranger Austin St. John at San Diego Comic-Con and they happened to get a cool nugget from him. St. John was asked if he would be interested in returning to Power Rangers via an animated series that follows the original Mighty Morphin team and his response was, “Absolutely.” He then went on to tease that he’s been working on something like that:
“There may or may not be one in the works I’ve been working on for three years, and I’m very careful about releasing information for. But just know, you’re not done with Jason.”
Of course, that is literally all of the information we have. I would love a reunion of the original cast and if the team over at BOOM! Studios happened to help write the story, I think it’d be an amazing series. Possibly a Shattered Grid series? Also, I’d love another story that plays more with Rangers from different eras doing things together.
