I’ve got some super exciting news for you today, especially if you’re a fan of Steven Spielberg and Richard Donner’s classic 1985 adventure film, The Goonies. The cast of the film is reuniting for Reunited Apart, which is a virtual gathering that will be hosted by Josh Gad.
Sean Astin (Mikey), Corey Feldman (Mouth), Jeff Cohen (Chunk), Ke Huy Quan (Data), Martha Plimpton (Stef), Kerri Green (Andy), and Josh Brolin (Brand) will all be a part of it, and I couldn’t be more excited!
The Goonies reunion will air on Gad’s YouTube channel today, on Monday, April 27th, at 9am PT / 12 ET. You can check out the big announcement below! It’ll be a lot of fun seeing the Goonies gang get back together to talk about their film, share stories, and offer some insight.
While I don’t think it’ll happen, it would be pretty cool if they used this opportunity to announced the long-awaited sequel that has been teased over the years.
