A deleted scene from Avengers: Infinity War has surfaced featuring Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, and Mantis teaming up to save the lives of Drax, Peter Quill, and Gamora.
Doctor Strange tells Peter to protect the Guardians after Thanos separated their souls from their bodies. After gathering them together, Mantis uses her powers to connect their souls back to their bodies. It’s a fun scene that also has some humor.
There’s also a great throwback to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 when Drax comments on the hideous appearance of Mantis. Spider-Man also pokes fun at how heavy Star-Lord is, which is a reference to some digs made at his expense a little earlier in the movie when the Guardians discovered Thor in space.
