Every Shane Black movie ranked

ComingSoon.net is counting down the films of Shane Black, whose signature sense of humor remains one of the most original voices in modern blockbuster filmmaking. Check out our choices in the gallery below!

Bursting onto the filmmaking scene with his debut script for Lethal Weapon, screenwriter-turned-director Shane Black has never been anything short of engrossingly cynical and immensely talented. From the very start, Black established himself as a thoroughly original voice in action filmmaking—from his signature trademarks like setting his films at Christmas to his knack for one-liners, one can always identify a Black script.

He’s been all over the place, creatively—darkly comedic neo-noirs to big-budget action films to nostalgic send-ups of childhood heroes—but never loses sight of what makes him unique. A Shane Black film is always guaranteed to deliver sharp dialogue, big action, and solid thrills. With just nine screenplays under his belt over the course of a few decades, Shane Black’s filmography is something to revere.

REFLECTIONIST Offers a Unique and Interesting Unofficial Class for D&D Players

If you’re looking for a fun and new class to try out for your Dungeons & Dragons games, you may want to look at making a Reflectionist. The Reflectionist is an unofficial class from Casey Machado and Dorothea Rosenblatt. The class’ main thing is its ability to create “Reflections” or altered duplicates that have unique abilities such as fighting with claws or possessing people. What makes these Reflections different from other duplicating spells is that damage and actions are shared between the Reflections and the Reflectionist. This will mean that every choice you make can be critical.

Whether gaining positional advantages on the battlefield or using their broadened outlook to navigate social challenges, reflectionists embody an understanding that maintaining multiple perspectives can yield powerful potential.

The Reflectionist class is a versatile combination of modest spellcasting, martial combat options, and potent class features that will delight both a player’s roleplay and tactical sides. Its signature “Conjure Reflection” ability enables Reflectionist characters to create a duplicate of themselves as seen through a different perspective, thus enabling it to harness new potential energy to fuel its abilities.

If this sounds like a fun class, head on over to DMs Guild and you can pick up Reflectionist for $4.24 (it’s currently on sale from $4.99).

YouTube Confirms Its Original Shows Will Be Available to Stream for Free with Ads

YouTube is shaking up its strategy and is making some choices that seem to be great for its viewers. Last fall, YouTube came out with a statement saying that they wanted to shift focus to some unscripted content tied to established celebrities instead of going all in on original scripted shows that all the streaming services are competing with right now. They’ve now added in a press release that they will be focusing on “three types of series: music, learning and personalities.”

That’s all cool, and it will be interesting to see what comes from it, but the best news is that they’ve also confirmed that the streaming service YouTube Premium (formally known as YouTube Red) will make their original series, such as Cobra Kai, available to fans for free, with ads. That’s great news. Ads are annoying, but paying for service upon service is more annoying. And Cobra Kai is one of my absolute favorite shows right now! So I really appreciate that.

Are you happy about the original unscripted content coming to YouTube Premium? Are you stoked the scripted series are now free? Let us know in the comments.
