Showtime’s The Loudest Voice trailer & poster unveiled

Showtime has released the official The Loudest Voice trailer and poster for its highly anticipated seven-part limited series starring Russell Crowe as Fox News founder Roger Ailes. Check out the trailer in the player below as well as the full poster in the gallery!

RELATED: Teaser for The Loudest Voice Reveals Russell Crowe as Roger Ailes

Based on extensive reporting by Gabriel Sherman for his bestselling book, The Loudest Voice in the Room, the series stars Academy Award and Golden Globe winner Crowe (GladiatorA Beautiful Mind) alongside Watts, Sienna Miller (Layer Cake) will play former NBC news producer Elizabeth “Beth” Ailes. Seth MacFarlane (Family Guy) will portray Brian Lewis, with Simon McBurney (The Theory of Everything) as Rupert Murdoch, and Annabelle Wallis (Peaky Blinders) as Laurie Luhn.

In today’s politically charged media landscape, no figure looms larger, even after his passing, than Roger Ailes, molding Fox News into a force that irrevocably changed the conversation about the highest levels of government. To understand the events that led to the rise of Donald Trump, one must understand Ailes. The upcoming limited series takes on that challenge, focusing primarily on the past decade in which Ailes arguably became the Republican Party’s de facto leader, while also touching on defining events in Ailes’ life, including an initial meeting with Richard Nixon on the set of The Mike Douglas Show that gave birth to Ailes’ political career and including the sexual harassment accusations and settlements that brought his Fox News reign to an end.

Told through multiple points of view, the limited series aims to shed light on the psychology that drives the political process from the top down. Sherman co-wrote the initial episode of the limited series with Oscar winner Tom McCarthy (Spotlight). For the primary source material, The Loudest Voice in the Room, Sherman interviewed more than 600 people.

Crowe also serves as an executive producer on the series. Emmy nominee Kari Skogland (The Handmaid’s Tale) will direct the first two episodes and serves as executive producer.

The project is a co-production from Showtime and independent studio Blumhouse Television (Sharp ObjectsThe Normal Heart). In addition to Crowe, McCarthy will executive produce with Emmy winner Jason Blum and Alex Metcalf, as well as Marci Wiseman and Jeremy Gold for Blumhouse Television and Liza Chasin (Darkest Hour) of 3dot Productions.

The Loudest Voice premieres on Showtime June 30.

SYFY has released a brand new featurette for the upcoming second season of Krypton, highlighting one of Seg-El’s newest enemies, the iconic Superman villain, Doomsday. Featuring new footage from the new season, you can check out the video below.

RELATED: Krypton Season 2 Trailer: It’s a Bad Day to Be A Hero

Krypton is SYFY’s most-watched debut season since 2014 and the most-watched season for any scripted series on the network since 2015’s Defiance.  The series has averaged about 1.8 million viewers a week, breaking records for the network.

Set two generations before the destruction of the legendary Man of Steel’s home planet, Krypton follows Superman’s grandfather (Cameron Cuffe, The Halcyon) — whose House of El was ostracized and shamed — as he fights to redeem his family’s honor and save his beloved world from chaos. The Seg-El name is both a nod to Superman co-creator Jerry Siegel and a reference to John Byrne’s 1980s miniseries, “The World of Krypton.” Cameron Cuffe is set to play Seg-El along with Georgina Campbell as Lyta Zod.

BOB’s BURGERS: THE MOVIE Still in Development and Expected July 2020

Disney has not axed the Bob’s Burgers movie after acquiring 21st Century Fox and has confirmed that Bob’s Burgers: The Movie is still set to premiere on July 17, 2020.

This is a release date that has been in place since 2017, so it’s sounding pretty solid. Not too much is known about the plot, but we do know that it will be a musical comedy (no shock there) and there will be a subplot involving Louise Belcher and Kuchi Kopi, her night light, adventuring in a fantasy world.

Creator Loren Bouchard had this to say when the movie was announced:

“We’re thrilled to be invited to bring Bob’s Burgers to the big screen. We know the movie has to scratch every itch the fans of the show have ever had, but it also has to work for all the good people who’ve never seen the show. We also know it has to fill every inch of the screen with the colors and the sounds and the ever so slightly greasy texture of the world of Bob’s – but most of all it has to take our characters on an epic adventure. In other words, it has to be the best movie ever made. But no pressure, right?!”

I’m excited to learn more about this film and cannot wait for a trailer. I hope Regular-Sized Rudy is in it! Are you excited for Bob’s Burgers: The Movie?

An Established Marvel Cinematic Universe Character Will Come Out as Gay

an-established-marvel-cinematic-universe-character-will-come-out-as-gay-social.jpg

Over the years Marvel Studios has been working on building more diversity in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In Avengers: Endgame, a minor gay character was introduced in the movie, who was played by director Joe Russo. The character was introduced during a group meeting lead by Steve Rogers about dealing with the aftermath of Thanos and The Snap.

Some people felt that this gay representation in the film wasn’t enough, but there is going to be a big announcement coming regarding an already established character in the MCU. During an interview with EW, Joe discussed his cameo in Endgame and in the process was asked who else is gay? This was his response:

“Uhhh… We’re gonna find out! There is a gay character coming up in one of their films, and I think Kevin [Feige, MCU boss] will make that announcement, I’m sure pretty soon.”

The question is who could it be? Valkyrie’s sexuality has been discussed in the past, and it has been hinted that she might be bisexual from a scene that was cut from Thor: Ragnarok. There has also been speculation among the fans that Captain Marvel could be gay. I’ve also seen some discussions on Sam Wilson possibly being gay. But, there are numerous possibilities.

Regardless of who it is, there’s going to be an announcement regarding it. Gay, straight, I don’t care as long as Marvel keeps telling great stories with these great characters.

Who do you all think Russo is referring to here?
