Harrison Ford on The Future of the INDIANA JONES – “When I’m Gone, He’s Gone.”

Indiana-Jones-in-Raiders-of-the-Lost-Ark-1.jpg

We’ve never known Harrison Ford to shy away from his feelings, so his reaction in this interview is no surprise, but it’s pretty funny. While appearing on the Today show this past week while doing press for his upcoming animated film, The Secret Life of Pets 2, Ford was asked his opinion on who he would like to see play the next Indiana Jones once he’s ready to hang up the whip and fedora. He replied:

Nobody is going to be Indiana Jones. Don’t you get it? I’m Indiana Jones. When I’m gone, he’s gone. It’s easy!

The tone was playful, but also unmistakably serious. He clearly does not feel that the Indiana Jones films should be messed with, and no one should try to replace him. In fact, he went on to add:

This is a hell of a way to tell Chris Pine this. I’m sorry man!

He’s so funny. It’s so nice to hear how someone really feels about things. And the best part is that he’s still in the game. Disney has scheduled an untitled Indiana Jones 5 for July 9, 2021. Steven Spielberg is set to direct and Ford will be back as Indy.

One thing he does mention in the name “Chris Pine”, which has never been mentioned in regards to Indiana Jones, but I assume he got Chis Pine and Chris Pratt mixed up because Pratt was the actor rumored to be up for a reboot of the franchise at one point.

Are you excited for another Harrison Ford Indiana Jones film? Do you think he should be the only Indy, or should someone else fill his shoes one day down the road?

Watch the interview below and that part where he talks about Indiana Jones in at the 3:55 mark.

Catch-22 Season 1 Episode 5 Recap

In the previous episode of Hulu’s Catch-22, Nately died before he could propose to Clara. In Catch-22 Season 1 Episode 5, YoYo wanted to go to Rome to tell Clara.

Permission Denied

Cathcart and Korn admonished YoYo for needing to turn back during the mission. However, Korn pointed out that punishing him would send the wrong message about the mission’s success. Cathcart agreed to give YoYo a medal for his courage. However, when YoYo asked for leave to see Clara in Rome, Cathcart denied permission. Yossarian went looking for Milo, who was away in Spain. Two of the Italian boys working for M&M flew YoYo to Rome.

At the house in Rome, Aarfy was there on leave. YoYo dropped off his things and headed for the brothel. The place was dark and empty. YoYo found Clara’s sister, Ines, on the street, and she didn’t know where Clara was. YoYo gave Ines the ring meant for Clara. Ines thought he wanted a sexual favor for it, but he told her to keep it.

On the way back, after running into a group of men beating a dog, YoYo saw a crowd surrounding Michaela dead on the cobblestones. Yossarian quickly realized that Aarfy had raped her and thrown her out of the window. When the MPs came, YoYo thought they were there to arrest Aarfy, but they arrested him instead for going on leave without permission.

Balancing the Books

Catch-22 Season 1 Episode 5 Recap

The MPs had locked Yossarian up in a bunker. Cathcart and Korn came to see him to impress on him how bad the things he was saying about Aarfy would reflect on the US Army. They offered to discharge YoYo if he kept his mouth shut.

The two Italian boys found YoYo and brought Milo. They were in a “Green Zone”, and they all had to get out of there. Cathcart realized what Milo meant, and as they frantically drove away, the Germans bombed the airfield. Milo explained it was part of a deal for the syndicate, and they would be attacking them in return soon. He reminded YoYo that he too was part of the syndicate and wanted him to be a partner now and after they went home.

The Mediterranean Theater

Catch-22 Season 1 Episode 5 Recap

As the men were cleaning up the airfield, General Scheisskopf landed. He was now in charge of the entire Mediterranean theater and would be based on Pianosa. Upon hearing that Scheisskopf was there, Yossarian found Korn, whose office was being cleaned out around him. Korn had YoYo’s discharge papers ready, and they only needed Cathcart’s signature. Unfortunately, he asked for it in front of Scheisskopf. Since YoYo hadn’t flown the current mission quota of 55, he ripped up YoYo’s discharge papers, despite whatever deal they had in place. He hinted that he knew YoYo was sleeping with his wife.

While YoYo was on his next mission, he got hit and believed he lost his testicles. Both engines were failing, and YoYo and Aarfy abandoned the plane. Orr, who was piloting, didn’t jump.

Agents of SHIELD Season 6 Episode 3 sees Fitz and Enoch as wanted men. A hunter receives an alert regarding the two. Armed with weapons and a teleportation device, the hunter searches for his quarry.

Fitz & Enoch

Agents of SHIELD Season 6 Episode 3 Recap

Fitz lands the hijacked ship on Kitson, where he is considered a hero by local workers at the spaceport for saving the crew over the Controller. However, the workers are still going to steal the snails and the ship from Fitz. Proving that they’re not terrible people, the workers leave Fitz and Enoch with a single casino chip, giving the two a chance to make the fortune they need to get another ship and get off planet.

The casino has a strict no robots nor synthetics rule. Enoch gets past their scanners. Feeling optimistic, Enoch orders himself and Fitz drinks. Enoch has studied — but never played — games of chance like those played in the casino. Enoch states that he is having fun out with Fitz, who Enoch considers his best friend.

Enoch wins a large amount of chips before losing them at a poker-like game. While Enoch is great at playing mathematical odds, he is incapable of reading people, including when Fitz says that Enoch is his best friend, too. Enoch knows of one final game they can play, but the stakes are high. Enoch will count the cards in a blackjack-like game and signal to Fitz playing the game. If Fitz loses, he will be sold into slavery.. or worse.

All is going well until Enoch is remotely shut down. The hunter is a chronicom like Enoch, and he has alerted others that Fitz and Enoch are here. Enoch says that being remotely shut down means that he has been decommissioned. He no longer has a purpose. Fitz says that they are best friends and that their purpose is to look out for one another.

Simmons & Daisy

Agents of SHIELD Season 6 Episode 3 Recap

Daisy, Simmons, and the rest of their team arrive in Naro-Atzia space, where they are docked and boarded for customs inspection. The hunter teleports onto their ship on the information that Fitz and Enoch would be aboard the next ship that docked there. The hunter explains that Fitz is a man out of time, and his presence threatens the timeline of the universe.

Realizing that Fitz and Enoch are alive and close by, Daisy and Simmons travel to Kitson to find them. Unfortunately, they are under the psychedelic effects of a treat that they ingested, causing them to lose track of their mission in the casino. The hunter gets free and contacts others who shut down Enoch. Daisy fights off the hunters while Simmons searches for Fitz. Fitz and Enoch escape from their cell in front of Simmons, but the hunter telelports in, grabs Fitz, and teleports away, leaving Simmons and Enoch alone in the hallway.

Back on earth, Sarge and Jaco survey the planet and get ready to do some damage.

A Quiet Place Sequel Bumped Up Two Months

Bloody Disgusting has brought word that the highly-anticipated sequel to the 2018 horror hit A Quiet Place, which is being helmed by John Krasinski (Jack Ryan) for the second time, is moving its release date up two months from its original May 15, 2020 to March 20!

The sequel, which is being written by Krasinski, will continue the story of the Abbott family in the alien apocalypse, featuring the reprisals of Emily Blunt (Mary Poppins Returns), Millicent Simmonds (Wonderstruck), and Noah Jupe (Ford v. Ferrari) in their roles, with Cillian Murphy (Peaky Blinders) also joining the cast.

Despite initial plans for the sequel to not follow the Abbott family from the original film, it appears the story for the sequel may have a more established plan to bring them back now that negotiations have begun to bring back the three cast members.

THR previously reported that the only hitches in the potential casting would be the fact that the story is expected to create a bigger budget for the project since the first one only cost around $17 million to make and grossed over $340 million globally. Simmonds and Jupe are under option at the studio, and therefore could receive pay bumps, while Blunt’s salary is generally in the seven figures. Blunt was reportedly willing to take a significant pay cut given the predecessor was her husband’s passion project, so it’s possible she will take a pay cut once again.

The sequel is currently slated to hit theaters on May 15, 2020.

The Hollywood Reporter has announced that the upcoming Richard Jewell biopic directed and produced by Clint Eastwood (The Mule), which has been in the works for five years, is changing studios from Fox to Warner Bros, the legendary director’s longtime home.

Based on Marie Brenner’s 1997 Vanity Fair article “American Nightmare: The Ballad of Richard Jewell,” the film will tell the true story of the innocent security guard who helped save lives during the 1996 Olympic bombing in Atlanta who was later accused of plotting the attack. Eric Robert Rudolph pled guilty to the crime, along with several other bombings, in 2005.

The project has been in development for many years with Jonah Hill previously attached to play Jewell. Hill’s The Wolf of Wall Street cohort Leonardo DiCaprio previously attached to play the lawyer who aided him during the media firestorm that painted him as a terrorist. Neither actor remains attached to the film as a star, but remain attached as producers.

Following Disney’s acquisition of Fox, the studio has been clearing a lot of upcoming films from its slates that it doesn’t deem primed for box office smashing, but rather than cancel the Jewell project, the House of Mouse began discussions with Warner Bros. to send the film their way. Warner Bros. has been almost the exclusive home to Eastwood’s filmography as both an actor and a director.

The film will be produced by DiCaprio, Hill, Jennifer Davisson Killoran, and Kevin Misher, with Eastwood hoping to begin shooting this summer from the script written by.
