Warner Bros. will be releasing Clint Eastwood’s next film project, Richard Jewell, on December 13, 2019, which puts the film right in the spotlight for award season.
Paul Walter Hauser (Cobra Kai) stars in the film, which tells the true life story of Richard Jewell, “the security guard whose life was turned upside down after it was leaked by law enforcement to a reporter that he was a possible suspect in the Olympic Park bombing during the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.”
Jewell maintained his innocence throughout the madness and was eventually cleared by the FBI 88 days later. Unfortunately, his reputation was never restored, and his health was forever damaged. Jewell was never charged, and he died in 2007.
Sam Rockwell also stars in the film as Jewell’s lawyer, alongside Kathy Bates, Jon Hamm and Olivia Wilde.
