IFC Films has released a trailer for its upcoming indie horror film titled Oddity, and this movie is going to deliver a creepy and unsettling story.
The film comes from Irish filmmaker Damian McCarthy and in the story a character named Dani is murdered, and her blind occultist twin sister Darcy goes after those responsible using inherited haunted items as her tools of revenge.
The synopsis reads: “When Dani is brutally murdered at the remote country house that she & her husband Ted are renovating, everyone suspects a patient from the local mental health institution, where Ted is a doctor.
“However, soon after the suspect is found dead. A year later, Dani’s blind twin sister Darcy, a self-proclaimed psychic and collector of cursed items, pays an unexpected visit to Ted and his new girlfriend, Yana.
“Convinced that there was more to her sister’s murder than people know, Darcy has brought with her the most dangerous items from her cursed collection to help her exact revenge.
Oddity stars Gwilym Lee, Carolyn Bracken as both Dani and Darcy, Tadhg Murphy, Caroline Menton, Jonathan French, and Steve Wall.
IFC Films will release Oddity in select US theaters on July 19th, 2024; and it will be streaming on Shudder later this summer.
