Maggie Gyllenhaal is currently in production on a horror film titled The Bride! which is inspired by the classic Universal Monster film, The Bride of Frankenstein.
The movie stars Christian Bale as Frankenstein’s Monster, and Jessie Buckley as the bride. We’ve now learned that Jake Gyllenhaal is set to appear in the movie.
The new was revealed in a new profile piece on Jake Gyllenhaal that was published by The Hollywood Reporter.
There’s no word on who he’ll be playing in the film, but he’ll make a great addition to the cast. The Bride! will also star Penelope Cruz, Peter Sarsgaard, and Annette Bening.
The upcoming film “sees a lonely Frankenstein travel to 1930s Chicago to seek the aide of a Dr. Euphronius in creating a companion for himself.
“The two reinvigorate a murdered young woman and the Bride is born. She is beyond what either of them intended, igniting a combustible romance, the attention of the police and a wild and radical social movement.”
The Bride! will release in theaters on October 3, 2025.
