Netflix has released the full trailer for the upcoming sci-fi adventure film Atlas. The movie stars Jennifer Lopez who finds herself in an AI-powered mech, hunting down a renegade AI robot, who is causing chaos.
The AI humanoid robot was originally created to enhance humanity, but instead turned on it and nearly destroyed it.
Lopez plays Atlas Shepherd in the film, “a brilliant but misanthropic data analyst with a deep distrust of artificial intelligence, joins a mission to capture a renegade robot with whom she shares a mysterious past. But when plans go awry, her only hope of saving the future of humanity from AI is to trust it.”
This trailer offers us our best look at the film, and judging from the dialogue, it seems like AI also had a hand in writing the script because every line spoken in the trailer is so generic.
Atlas was directed by Brad Peyton (San Andreas, Rampage) and written by Leo Sardarian and Aron Eli Coleite.
The movie also stars Simu Liu, Sterling K. Brown, Gregory James Cohan, Abraham Popoola, Lana Parrilla, and Mark Strong.
The film is set to debut on Netflix on Friday, May 24th.
