Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for director M. Night Shyamalan’s upcoming thriller Trap, and the trailer does something interesting. It reveals the big twist of the movie, and it’s a good one!
The film stars Josh Hartnett and the story follows a father and teen daughter who attend a pop concert, “where they realize they’re at the center of a dark and sinister event.”
I’ll let you watch the trailer to see for yourself what that dark and sinister event is and what it entails. I do love the concept of the story, and it looks like it’s going to make for a great movie. Who knows, there might be another big twist in the story!
Shaymlan talked about this movie at CinemaCon and he hatched the story with his pianist daughter over the course of several years of trying to figure out a sinister story to tell that ties to music. I like the concept, and it’ll be interesting to see how the story plays out.
The movie also stars Ariel Donoghue, Saleka Shyamalan, Hayley Mills and Allison Pill.
