DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE Director Shawn Levy Addresses Taylor Swift and Other Cameo Rumors

Deadpool & Wolverine director Shawn Levy was once again asked about the rumored Taylor Swift cameo in the film. It’s so funny because he keeps getting asked about this! Do these people conducting the interviews actually think he’s going to reveal any big surprises!?

This time the question came from the major media outlet Entertainment Tonight and Levy responded by saying: “I can’t even believe that you would dare ask me a question that you know I can’t answer. You know I can’t answer. All of America knows I can’t answer that.”

He went on to address all the rumors that have been spreading, saying: “I will say, as I said earlier here at CinemaCon, the proliferation of rumors about who is and isn’t in this movie is fabulous. Because no one will ever know the truth until July 26th.”

When previously talking about the cameo rumors Levy said that some of them are true: “I love the proliferation of casting rumors on the internet, because I never have to say what’s real and what’s fantasy, so I’m just going to go with the very cliche ‘no comment’ on all things casting [with] Deadpool 3.”

He added: “I will say, we’re lucky on this one. There’s certainly — is this an answer? A lot of the internet rumors are completely false, but some of them aren’t.”

A new synopsis for the film reads: “After some professional disappointments and an ongoing midlife crisis, Wade Wilson now sells used cars. He’s completely hung up his boots until his family, friends, and whole world are threatened.

“With everyone he loves at risk, DP teams up with a reluctant Wolverine to fight for their survival and ultimately, their legacy.”

The confirmed cast for the movie includes Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova, Morena Baccarin and Stefan Kapicic as Vanessa and Colossus, Matthew Macfadyen in a TVA Agent, and Leslie Uggams as Blind Al.

They are joined by Brianna Hildebrand and Shioli Kutsuna will also return to the franchise as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Negasonic Teenage Warhead’s girlfriend Yukio. It was previously confirmed that Jennifer Garner will return as Elektra in the movie.

Deadpool & Wolverine will hit theaters on July 26th!
