Max has released the first trailer for a cool-looking animated sci-fi series titled, Scavengers Reign. The series follows a crew of a damaged deep space freighter who are stranded on a beautiful but dangerous planet.
The project was co-created by Joseph Bennett and Charles Huettner and it’s a follow-up to their popular 2016 animated short film Scavengers. This series looks like it’s going to tell a crazy and intense story! This trailer certainly piqued my interest.
Scavengers Reign follows “a number of survivors after they are stranded on an alien planet following their interstellar freighter being damaged. The various groups look to survive and perhaps even escape, navigating a complex ecosystem they can only begin to understand and was never meant for them.”
The series features the voices of Wunmi Mosaku as Azi, Bob Stephenson as Sam, Sunita Mani as Ursula, Ted Travelstead as Kamen, and Alia Shawkat as Levi. Guest stars include the voices of Pollyanna McIntosh as Kris, Dash Williams as Barry, Freddy Rodriguez as Terrence, Sepideh Moafi as Mia, and Skyler Gisondo as Charlie.
The series set to premiere on Max on October 19th.
