He landed scholarships at various drama academies, including one run by the Stanislavsky student Benjamin Zemach, who taught Arkin a psychological approach to acting.

Throughout his career, Arkin’s performances were marked by their depth, and authenticity, and he was just brilliant in his approach to playing his characters. His ability to seamlessly transition between intense drama and lighthearted comedy showcased his versatility and made him an actor who could effortlessly captivate audiences in any genre.
