Jason Clarke Set to Star in Dramatic Thriller Series THE LAST FRONTIER

Apple Studios is developing an original dramatic thriller series The Last Frontier, which is being developed by Sam Hargrave (Extraction), who is producing the series and directing the pilot. The series also has a strong cast that includes Jason Clarke (Winning Time, Zero Dark Thirty) set to lead, Jon Bokenkamp (The Blacklist), and Richard D’Ovidio (The Call).

The story follows U.S. Marshal Frank Remnick (Clarke), “the lone marshal in charge of the quiet, rugged barrens of Alaska, whose jurisdiction is turned upside-down when a prison transport plane crashes in the remote wilderness, setting free dozens of violent inmates. Tasked with protecting the town he’s vowed to keep safe, he begins to suspect the crash wasn’t an accident but rather the first step of a well-crafted plan with international political implications.”

The series will consist of 10 episodes, and I like the concept for it! This is going to tell a pretty crazy story, and I think it’s going to make for a great show.

Hargrave recently directed Extraction 2 for Netflix. He is also looking to team up with Jake Gyllenhaal for MGM’s Combat Control, telling the true story of Medal of Honor recipient John Chapman.
