The loss of Kevin Conroy has been felt worldwide. His iconic portrayal of Batman will always be my favorite, he was able to perfectly encapsulate all the many sides of Batman. The ending scene of The Dark Knight film was incredibly powerful and poignant. Combining the two is absolutely incredible.
When Conroy was on Rob Paulsen’s show Talkin’ Toons he did a cold read of this scene and it was incredible. Now, TheArt91Lee has made an animation to accompany this performance and if it doesn’t convince you that animated Batman is still the best Batman I don’t know what will.
While not every part of it is super polished, it is an incredible piece. Hearing Conroy’s voice come alive as Batman again made me a little teary eyed, but it is definitely worth watching.
