Nintendo and Illumination have released a new trailer for The Super Mario Bros. Movie! This trailer is packed with new footage and it features a lot of characters that you all know and love from the Super Mario Bros. franchise. It looks like Mario is going to find himself on a crazy adventure that sees him fighting Donky Kong, teaming up with Princess Peach, and racing in his go-kart!
The movie stars Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek, and Sebastian Maniscalco as Spike.
It was directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic (Teen Titans Go!, Teen Titans Go! To the Movies) from a screenplay by Matthew Fogel (The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part, Minions: The Rise of Gru).
The film is produced by Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri and by Shigeru Miyamoto for Nintendo.
The movie looks like a lot of fun and it will be released on April 7th, 2023.
