Disney is bringing a Beauty and the Beast anniversary special to ABC this December to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the beloved musical. In the special, singer and actor Josh Groban will portray the Beast opposite musician H.E.R., who will play Belle. Joshua Henry (tick, tick… BOOM!) has been tapped to play Gaston, while EGOT winner Rita Moreno (West Side Story) will serve as the night’s narrator.
Presented by The Wonderful World of Disney, the two-hour live-action/animated hybrid reimagining of the beloved story of Beauty and the Beast will be taped in front of a live audience at Disney Studios and will air December 15th on ABC and on Disney+ the next day.
