Konami revealed a new trailer for the upcoming CYGNI: All Guns Blazing during Gamescon and it looks great. The twin stick vertical scrolling shooter looks like it will be a fun blend of nostalgic old school game and next generation graphics.
It was also announced that not only will it be releasing on Steam in 2023, it will also be launching on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game overall sounds like fun, you’ll be able to upgrade your ship, take down colossal alien bosses, and shoot everything in sight in your fight for survival. And you can play one or two player with local co op which is always a plus for me.
The new trailer, which you can check out below, doesn’t reveal a lot, but the graphics it shows off are impressive. My favorite moment is at the end when you see the giant alien that you’ll be fighting rising up from the ground. It looks so intimidating and I’m sure it will just be an incredibly satisfying fight.
