Recently, Konami announced the new Amazing Defenders set for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG. This is a 60-card set that brings three new themes to the game with each one having a unique gameplay style. The themes are as follows:

A fully equipped rescue vehicle that’s first on the scene! It’s got all the tools you need to survive and overcome any threat.

An Xyz Monster that needs a little TLC to reach its full potential! Raise it well and there’s nothing you can’t accomplish together.

A Ritual Monster who only appears upon mastering the mystic dance. What kind of powers does it hold?
Are we sure these are new themes? The first one sounds like a revamp of ROIDs, I’m not sure about the second, and the third sounds like it might be a Ritual version of Cyber Blader and company. If you have thoughts about the second theme, let me know in the comments because I’m sure I’m just overlooking something. I know the art for the pack shows us what appear to be new monsters, but I’m not convinced they’re brand-new.
Regardless of whether or not these truly are new themes or not, Amazing Defenders will include reprints as well and 15 cards in the set will be available as Collector’s Rares. The rarity breakdown is as follows:

Each pack of Amazing Defenders will have 7 cards: 1 Foil and 6 Rare. The set is slated for release on January 20 and will cost $4.49 per pack.
