Hulu has released three new clips and a couple of posters for the highly-anticipated Predator film, Prey, that comes from director Dan Trachtenberg (10 Cloverfield Lane). Fans have been waiting for someone to come along and make another great Predator movie and this movie delivers that! Prey is a badass Predator movie!
The story is set in the Comanche Nation 300 years ago, and the story follows a Predator who is dropped off on Earth to hunt. On his journey, he finds himself facing off with a tribe of Comanche warriors, one in particular who is looking to prove that she can be a great warrior.
The movie follows a young woman named Naru, “a fierce and highly skilled warrior. She has been raised in the shadow of some of the most legendary hunters who roam the Great Plains, so when danger threatens her camp, she sets out to protect her people. The prey she stalks, and ultimately confronts, turns out to be a highly evolved alien predator with a technically advanced arsenal, resulting in a vicious and terrifying showdown between the two adversaries.”
The film was produced by Jhane Myers (Monsters of God), who is an acclaimed filmmaker and member of the Comanche nation. She came on board to help the film honor the legacies of the Native communities and make sure that they accurately portrayed the historical elements of the Comanche nation.
The film’s cast includes Amber Midthunder (The Ice Road, Roswell, New Mexico), newcomer Dakota Beavers, Stormee Kipp (Sooyii), Michelle Thrush (The Journey Home), and Julian Black Antelope (Tribal).
