Hacker Puts Original Xbox Emulator on Nintendo Switch

Hackers can blow my mind sometimes. The latest to do so is Voxel9 who was able to install and run an Xbox emulator on their Nintendo Switch. Voxel9 recently shared a video where they ran XQEMU (an open-sourced Xbox Emulator) from their hacked Switch that is running Linux4Tegra Ubuntu. We see Voxel9 open Halo: Combat Evolved and JSRF: Jet Set Radio Future. Neither game runs great, in fact the frame rate is horrendous, but it’s still an impressive feat. To make things even more interesting is the fact that Voxel9 was using a PS4 controller as the emulator can’t detect the Switch’s Joy-Con. As one Reddit user said, “So you’re playing Xbox games with a PlayStation controller on a portable Nintendo console? What the actual f*** is this world?”

Something tells me this isn’t the partnership that Nintendo and Xbox have been working on.
