Frankenstein Untold is a new series in development from Sky Studios, which is described as a “radical reimagining” of the classic monster tale.
The project will take Mary Shelley’s novel as a jumping-off point “to explore the book’s philosophical and political themes, with the story, set in 1816, told through the eyes of eight different characters.”
This is a different and unique take on the Frankenstein story, and it’ll be interesting to see how this classic story plays out in this way. I wish there were more details to share regarding the series and this new take on the story, but that’s all we’ve got for now.
The show will be directed by Philipp Stölzl (The Royal Game, North Face), who also created the series and is currently developing it with producers Neue Schönhauser Film (Back on Track).
