The UNFINISHED BUSINESS Expansion for STAR WARS: OUTER RIM Launches Next Week

Last week, Asmodee and Fantasy Flight Games announced that Unfinished Business, the upcoming expansion for Star Wars: Outer Rim would launch on June 10. Pre-orders are open now through Asmodee for $44.99. Unfinished Business brings some of the NPCs from the base game and upgrades them to playable characters including Chewbacca, Hera Syndulla, Cad Bane, Maz Kanata, Hondo Ohnaka, and more. In addition, there will be Core Worlds that serve as endcaps on the board and allow players to quickly travel across the galaxy. The catch is that these Core Worlds are controlled by the Empire, so you’ll want to be on their good side if you wish to use them. Other additions include the new Favors and Ambitions optional rules that are being added.

“Favors” give each player a debt token, which can be traded at any point for a favor, such as borrowing another player’s skill. Collecting another player’s debt token allows you to use it later in the game for a guaranteed favor request.
“Ambitions” change the winning conditions by requiring a series of completed goals in addition to an amount of fame, creating another layer of strategy while also building into a climactic story arc for your character.

Of course, Unfinished Business is also bringing new ships, jobs, gear, bounties, encounters, and even dice. Are you excited to add to Outer Rim?
