The Release Date of Marvel’s SHE-HULK Series Was Accidentally Revealed

According to an official blog post on Disney+’s UK site, which outlines the lineup of Marvel’s upcoming small screen offerings, it was revealed that She-Hulk would premiere on August 17th, 2022. She-Hulk was one of many shows listed in the article alongside Secret Invasion, Ironheart, and Ms. Marvel.

The reveal of this release date was an accident and all mention of it has since been deleted from the site. But, it was revealed, the internet saw it, and now the news is spreading.

In the series, Jennifer Walters is a lawyer and cousin of Bruce Banner, “who inherits his Hulk powers after she receives a blood transfusion from him. Unlike Bruce, however, when she hulks out Jennifer is able to retain most of her personality, intelligence, and emotional control.”

Mark Ruffalo is back as Bruce Banner/Hulk in the series, and in an interview with Access Hollywood he shared: “Tatiana Maslany is fricking legendary as the She-Hulk. I’m passing… the Banner onto her. There are some really good, funny, cool… long, long scenes between the Professor and her. We’ve never really seen the Hulk interact with people the way he does in that show. It’ll be really interesting.”

Tim Roth, who plays Abomination in the series previously hyped the series and the acting in it, saying: “She’s amazing. It’s actually jaw-dropping… Her ability to absorb and then perform was quite remarkable. And she’s funny. [Maslany and Ruffalo] together were very funny.”

The series also stars Renée Elise Goldsberry, Ginger Gonzaga, and Jameela Jamil, who will star in a major role in the upcoming series. Jamil will be taking on the role of Titania, “a Marvel supervillain with incredible strength and a frequent rival of She-Hulk.”

Created by Rick and Morty‘s Jessica Gao, the show will consist of ten episodes. Kat Coiro split directing duties on She-Hulk with Anu Valia.
