Scarlet Witch is The Focus of This Featurette For DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS

Marvel has released a new featurette for Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and it puts the focus on Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige says in the video, “Part of the Madness of the Multiverse is we get to see different realities. And we see different versions, primarily of Doctor Strange, but we do see other versions of Wanda Maximoff.”

Olson adds, “WandaVision was this journey of her, for the first time, taking her own life into her own hands, and it was fun transitioning from her experience to this movie.”

We recently got to see the first 15-minutes of the film at CinemaCon and it’s a strong and exciting start to the story. Luckily, we won’t have to wait much longer before we get to see how this story plays out in theaters! It comes out on May 5th!

Here’s the synopsis:

Journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary.

Now that Iron Man and Captain America have left after a fierce battle in Avengers: Endgame, former genius surgeon and the strongest magician of them all, Doctor Strange, is expected to play an active role as a central figure in the Avengers. However, using his magic to manipulate time and space at will with a forbidden spell that is considered the most dangerous has opened the door to a mysterious madness called ‘the Multiverse.’ To restore a world where everything is changing, Strange seeks help from his ally Wong, the Sorcerer Supreme, and the Avengers’ most powerful Scarlet Witch, Wanda. But a terrible threat looms over humanity and the entire universe that no longer can be done by their power alone. Even more surprising, the greatest threat in the universe looks exactly like Doctor Strange…

The cast also includes Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Benedict Wong as Wong, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Karl Mordo, Rachel McAdams as Christine Palmer, and Xochitl Gomez as America Chavez.
