Bruce Greenwood Replaces Frank Langella in Mike Flanagan’s THE FALL OF THE HOUSE OF USHER

Bruce Greenwood is set to replace Frank Langella in Mike Flanagan’s Netflix series project The Fall of the House of Usher. Langella was fired from the project for misconduct, which included making an inappropriate joke to a female co-star. An investigation was conducted, and after it was completed they decided to let him go.

Greenwood will now star in the series and take on the role of Roderick Usher, the head of the Usher family. I think Greenwood is a great actor and this seems like a great project for him. Greenwood has worked with Flanagan in the past in films such as Doctor Sleep and Gerald’s Game.

The series is described as an epic tale of greed, horror and tragedy. Poe’s short story The Fall of the House of Usher, which serves as the basis for the show, features themes of madness, family, isolation and identity. The modern re-telling of the Edgar Allan Poe story also draws on other Poe works.

The cast for this new series also includes Carla Gugino, Mary McDonnell, Carl Lumbly, Mark Hamill, Henry Thomas, Kate Siegel, Zach Gilford, Katie Parker, Annabeth Gish, and more.

The series will consist of eight episodes, and I can’t wait to see how this turns out!
