One of the bigger surprises of the Warner Bros. CinemaCon panel was the introduction of Olivia Wilde’s sophomore film as a director, Don’t Worry Darling. We had no information in regards to this movie and we were pleasantly surprised.
The story follows Alice (Florence Pugh) as she and her husband (Harry Styles) try to navigate life while living in an experimental utopian community. When Alice’s husband’s work starts to concern her, things in this somewhat perfect subdivision begin to show their true colors.
The official plot summary reads:
A 1950s housewife living with her husband in a utopian experimental community begins to worry that his glamorous company may be hiding disturbing secrets.
Joining Pugh and Styles are Olivia Wilde, Chris Pine, Gemma Chan and Nick Kroll. Don’t Worry Darling will be released in theaters on September 23rd, 2022.
