A trailer and poster have been released for the Scottish horror film Shepherd, from writer and director Russell Owen (Welcome to the Majority, Inmate Zero). The film stars Tom Hughes, Kate Dickie, Gaia Weiss and Greta Scacchi.
Here’s the synopsis:
“Haunted by the recent death of his wife, widower Eric Black seeks solitude as a shepherd on a remote Scottish island. As the bleak desolation of the foreboding landscape and terrifying visions begin to overwhelm him, Eric is pushed to the brink of madness.”
This looks super creepy. And it’s a horror movie with a dog, which means there’s an excellent chance of that dog dying, so it’s a hard pass for me. This film does look well done though, so if you’re into horror, check it out and let us know what you think. Shepherd hits theatres on May 6th, and will be available on Digital and On Demand on May 10th.
